Engine Undertray.

Hi Friends, good morning,i just find out my Engine Undertray is gone, either is forget to put back by the service centre,or dropped off[i noticed a few screw missing before i send in the car],what will happened driving without it.?Will it affect the airflow of the car.?...any side effect,p/s advice, thanks.

Probably affect operating temps a little, and gas mileage in a very small amount, since the aero was all designed by Nissan for specific purposes. But the car will function fine without it.

I like it because it protects the the oilpan/filter and it keeps road filth from getting into engine compartment.

As per previous comments, it's not an absolute necessity but something you ought to replace. I suspect it also helps keep the car planted at higher speeds (but don't know for sure).

As everyone else has said, your car will run fine, but I'd replace it to protect all the components under your car from road gunk and also any potential damage. You never know when you're gonna be stuck behind a work truck that's dropping stuff all over the road.

If you do, go for the aluminum undershroud from Zspeed. I have one. Much nicer than the plastic one, and probably cheaper than what the dealership would charge you.

You need the undertray. It keeps your fender liners from falling off and rolling into the tires like mine did.

:iagree:

The under tray also supports the bumper from flexing down at high speeds.

Go retrieve the under tray from where ever it was left or replace it asap.
