Getting rid of the orange interior lights?

How hard would it be to get rid of every orange interior light, except maybe the HUD? I hate orange, and hate seeing the triple gauge cluster and the normal gauges light up orange every night.

i think digitonium would know the answer to this.... i believe he changed all of his lights and leds inside to white...

no problem dood

Blue lighting in the gauges is n-i-c-e! Orange, I just tolerate it, 'cause I don't wanna get involved in a project like that. Nissan could and should vary that, and shift to blue, green...I dunno, any other color.

just have to take things apart and solder in new LEDs where the old one was......

Pretty much, have a friend who did this to his Ford Focus, not exactly the same but he did same it took well over a month with doing it a few hours a day.

but the cool factor is worth it

Yeah, if you're young and/or have the time and/or have the desire to do so, I guess you could. Me? I'm 60, and in love with my '04.5 Touring Coupe; I hardly notice her "faults"! Greetings, dudes!

I have the time, but not the patience. I wonder if I can find an audio installation shop that could do something like that for me. I'd probably have to pay a LOT of money. Ugh...it would be worth it though. I f'ing hate orange.

it would be easier just to wear some colored lense sun glasses.

simota1 11-08-2009 03:50 PM

:icon18: haha jus wear some heavily tinted blue shades haha  i really dont mind the orange? thats why even if i had the choice of getting the red illuminated plates i still got the oem orange ones to keep everything uniform.... but i will say if u made everything white with some red accents here and there like near the red line of the rpm and other accents i sir would be completely jealous......

simota1 11-08-2009 03:50 PM

ay matt did u pm digitonium?

370ZBLACK09 11-08-2009 04:10 PM

there is a company called LEDMOD (ledmod.com) and the guy that owns it does this type of stuff for a living he has been talking to digitonium to tell him how to do some of the more difficult changes. He is wanting to get a few volunteers in the california area so he can work on them and be able to change them all out. I see that the original poster lives in Georgia so I know this wouldnt be possible for you unless you want to take a long road trip. But as soon as he gets a couple done he will be able to do them and ship them out.
You may want to ask him if he knows anyone closer to you that could do it, just a suggestion
