Loud Noise When Pressing Trunck Lid Opener Switch

So I just had a spoiler installed yesterday, and I'm afraid that some part of the trunk lock hardware may have been damaged.

Every time I press the Trunk Lid Opener Switch, I hear an unusually loud noise, one that did not happen before the installation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The solenoid is normally pretty loud.

I'm guessing that the weight of the spoiler has the lock in a slight bind causing it to make more noise when unlatching.

Does the hatch release properly?
