Im not sure if this is normal (headlights)

So is it normal for the headlights to stay on all the time? Even when I have the switch to the off position they don't turn off. Whenever the car is on the headlights are on. Are you able to turn then off or is this just how it is? Im worried about bulb life if they are on all the time even when I dont need them on.

Yep car is on, all the lights are on. I've only changed out my bulbs once, just to try another brand...both brands still work fine.

Im from Asia with Canadia decent my bulb down under always stays ON when needed and provoked! Lol
