Default Clear Bra saved my Z

About a month ago, I had a 3M Clear Bra put on my Z. Today, it saved my Z.

I screwed up when I parked my Z, today...I scraped a parking garage pilon. The sound was sickening! I was sick to my stomach and shaky when I got out and surveyed the damage. A gigantic scrape on the passenger side of the front bumper...it looked aweful!!! Long story short, a little light polishing compound and a little wax later, it's as good as new!

The clear bra is the BOMB!!!!! Other than a little clear bra damage, no noticable effect!

You gotta get this! It's a lifesaver!!!!!!!

Good for you! I actually work for 3M, but I have NO idea where I can get this application done. Could you tell us how/where you got the application done? Thanks!

Search for "Clear Bra" or "Speed Shield" or talk to your high end local dealerships. I was referred to a great company that my brother's dealership (Lexus) uses.

I got my clear bra installed by a local firm in Tulsa, OK that specializes in the application of 3M clear protective products for auto and home. They have been around here since the 80's. They came recommended by local body shops and high-end car dealerships.

I just had the entire front end protected, as well as the rocker panel and side mirrors. I definitely recommend having a clear bra installed. My 350z's front end looked disgusting after 3 years with no bra.

Hmm I bought my Z back in January and there is some obvious chips on my front end. Is it worth getting it installed now?

If I would have been thinking, I would have posted before and after pics. I was more interested in fixing the problem.

My bad!!!!

Can anyone give us an idea of what the cost would be to do the bumper.. or the whole front end for that matter? I'm picking up my brand new 370z tomorrow and want to get this application done pronto, and I'd like to have an idea of what I'm going to be spending. THANKS!!

I'm curious as to how long the clear 3M product has been around...would love to hear a comment from someone who has had it on a vehicle for 5 years!

It cost me about $600 to do the front end w/ mirrors. As for how long it's been around, I am not sure. It's a car saver, though. It has already protected the car more than it cost to put it on (based on body shop estimates to fix the things that have happened to it).

Paint protection film has been around well over 15 years. I have been installing it the last 7 years and have worked with many films. I have settled on VentureShield Ultra... it has the least orange peel and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have installed film on my moms car and my dads 04 Viper. it still looks brand new. if the film is takne care of... Zaino works great... it will look great for years. If you use abrasive brushes on it, cheap wax, or just simply dont wash it often it will not hold up well. Maintain it just as you do your paint and it will provide great protection and look great for as long as you keep your car.
