How to install 370z underbody led glow?
Hey guys, I'm not sure if I'm in the right thread or not but I'll take chances.
I'm trying to install led lights under my car and I just can't find a way to mount the led strip at the back of the car, mines a oem rear bumper FYI, and I couldn't find a way to mount it anywhere in the back. The sides and front are fine but I'm having trouble with the rear.. Can anyone help? Thanks |
Put on your rain coat ;)

Another reason to hate Fast & Furious http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/piss.gif
But it is your car so make it your own. Fair warning, most people like myself will cringe seeing it though. |
Please say it ain't so Katiehp0.

I ran some for a while for ***** and giggles. Ripped them off after I destroyed them when I bottomed out. Not worth it

Can I get my click back??:ugh2:

I Thought this site was supposed to be one were people aren't talked down to or made to feel like crap for asking a question? I must have logged onto the "Idriveahondacivic.com" forum by mistake.
Seriously, it's Katie's preference. Imagine being super excited about finally getting an upgrade done to your car, only to have a bunch of nobodies ridicule you. If you don't know how to answer the q or provide some sort of positive feedback then don't post you bunch a dingbats. Katie-I say go for what you want and make YOUR car what you want it to be. Screw all these haters. |
Hi Katie,
My best suggestion would be to search YouTube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4892hcQ2bzg I am not sure I am crazy about this guys zip tie method (drilling holes in to the car is not for me) but I am sure it will hold the strips. While I agree with the build it for yourself / screw the haters the led underglow thing is generally out of style. Then again there are people running insane camber and riding on 2" of the inside tread on their tire. So what's in style or out doesn't necessarily dictate good taste. |

:D I ran underglow on my 99 eclipse, love it. Still do if it is tastefully done and the color combo looks good. I personally would not put it on my Z but I still love a good kit done up right.

Mr. Forsberg seems to like his just fine. I say do it and post pics!!

I didn't read a word of this thread, just the title.
Step 1. Throw away neon lights. Step 2. Throw away your copies of Fast and Furious and all those late 90s tuner magazines. Step 3. Sell your Z. Step 4. Don't ever post a thread about neon underbody lights again. Step 5. Have a nice day. :) |
Chris Fosberg did it for the promo video. I don't think he rides around with led glowing under his car. And I have never seen a car with under glow led that was consider "done right" but it's just me.

I'm not going to lie.. I love me some underbody glow. I would do it if I thought I could get away without ridicule and if I thought the LEDs would be durable. Unfortunately, I don't think either are possible.

Really?

At first I thought this person is a troll.
Then I looked at post history, seems like the owner is fixing up a damaged car, and not such a newb. I find it hard to believe that someone savvy enough to battle all the engine troubles on your own need others advices on mounting underglow... Interesting thread tho. Seriously, I would rather accept underglow then having 0 offset hellaflush 245 on 11 in rims ($4k rims but cheap *** tires), -4 degrees camber and ppl be like "sick setup bro".... |
What year is it?
|
When I posted pictures of my 370 when I first put the underglow on it, I caught zero **** for it and people actually liked it...

How about a 11 in wheel, with 285s and 2 degrees of camber on a - offset, on decent tires & roughly 8k wheels? lol i get your point but your math was all wrong. |
