Default Annoying rattles in cabin

Anyone else had this issue and know what it might be?

When I'm driving at highway speeds, there seems to be some high pitched rattling or squeaking sound that's incredibly similar to crickets chirping. It doesn't happen below 25 MPH. Sounds like it's coming from the passenger side.

Any help/ideas on this would be appreciated as it's starting to drive me crazy.

I had the same thing going on for a while and found that if I completely empty out my glove compartment the noise went away. I use to carry a flashlight and a multitool in there, with the vibration it might have been rattling. Just a thought.

I thought maybe the same thing, but I only have some documents in there, no tools or the like.

Check and see if the passenger head rest is rubbing the roof. Also check the passenger side seatbelt. If all else fails, get a louder exhaust.

Does it happen with the window open or closed or partially open?

It's happening at least in the cases of fully closed and partially open. Haven't tested it fully open; will do tomorrow morning on my commute.

Testing with passenger-side window open is not needed if the noise was there with windows closed. It was a question to see if wind turbulence was a factor. On some of my cars, heavy wind flowing on the passenger-side seat belt causes a fluttering akin to cricket noise.

Also, check tires for debris embedded in the tread and thickness of brake pads.

Check the seal at the bottom of the door jam. The seal on my drivers side was creating a squeaking/cricket sound while driving.

Might help to take a passenger along to listen.

Sounds like it's coming from behind the dash, but I'll check the seal too.

I'll be taking the glove box out to add a cabin filter soon, so I'll take a look when I do that. Thought the same thing about getting a passenger to help out.

You can also check the speaker in the door on that side, sometimes it could be a loose speaker that creates the rattling noise

I'm having a similar issue: A rattling sound when the car is at speed. Sounds like it's coming from the left, front side. I checked the air vent (both in the dash and on the door), left side of the instrument cluster, A pillar, front speaker, and put the window down then back up. Nothing felt loose and manipulating the window didn't seem to matter. Any thoughts? I'll continue to look things over myself and see if I can find anything that could be causing this annoyance.

I've had what sounds similar to this. It ended up being the pass seat belt receiver. When it is sticking straight up, something inside makes noise, but if you push it forward and kind of wedge it between the seat and center console, the noise stops. Hopefully this takes care of it for you as well.
