Damn well that's all I really know to do for that. Only other thing would be to swap parts with a known good z. That'll tell you for sure if your hood or hinges are bent/warped

Hey also something that I just thought of, try unbolt in and adjusting the hood itself. If the hood was removed to do the install which I'm sure it was, it could have been improperly reinstalled or possibly bent while sitting in the shop.
