Well it all starts with a shower every morning and every night.. oh wait the shift knob haha...
Anyways haha... no Rings are ever worn on my right hand haha even my watch is on my left wrist. Other than that honestly I take a small microfiber cloth with a tiny bit of water and just wipe it off and then dry and polish with a big fluffy microfiber cloth. Do it maybe once a week. Havent felt comfortable putting chemicals on it. And if its ever in direct sunlight hitting it or anything I will put something over it to cover it. Not only that I don't eat in my car, food stays in the bags till I get to the destination haha. Just kinda gotta bebi it (pun intended)

Ive never used polish
I just dry the knob off and take one finger in the corner of the microfiber cloth and do the waxing motion with the small circles and just polish it like that. No chemicals or products just a little water and a microfiber towel

I like it partially because of the fact its faced towards me. I am going to be fixing it when I get my short shifter installed though.

Easy fix. Wrap some plumbing tape around your shaft put enough tape on the threaded portion then twist the knob on and adjust it to your liking. If you want photo of the shaft, they're in my private album

CLEAR COAT IT. I have owned more knobs than all of you combined. Spend $10-20 and get it cleared with a high quality clear.

Another option to get it straight that I posted in old thread is. I went to lowes and bought some 3/8" I'd aluminum tube and cut a taller than own spacer. Once cut and it was close then I just lightly sanded until it lined up perfectly when tight. I haven't had an issue in 3 years. I figured this was better option at the time so that over time it wouldn't loosen as it could if you loctite or thread seal it.
