370Z Foglights
Where the hell do I put fog lights on my Z?
Is this something I'm just missing? Are the Fog lights, unnecessary? I live in Oregon, and at times we get England-esq fog here. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...ystes/340x.jpg I may some day want to go F/I. Do I put them in front of the intercooler? |
I can see a aftermarket setup coming that puts them in the small gap of the fangs. Maybe somebody could photoshop that.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? |
Actually, I'm pretty sure that all the fog lighting systems are actually in the headlight assembly and they're 100% automatic... Aftermarket fogs may be a bit over kill, but if you really want them, you can put them side the the teeth.
|
I just looked at EVO-R's site, and they offer an HID projector fog light kit. It looks fairly small, and it might fit that faux-duct area with some cutting and whatnot.

Actually a DVD came with the owner's manual so I popped it in last night and there was something said about fog lights but I just can't remember what was said. So you may be right regarding the foglight being incorporated.

From what I understand, it's the led lights on the inners of the headlight assembly. My neighbor had that on his G35 MT6, and said they were 100% automatic. I'm not sure how that works, but I imagine it has something to do with the light reflection in the fog.

that's so sweet

Interesting... I'll have to have a look later.

That's not a bad place to put the fog lights even though I personally think them as tacky. Just my :twocents: |

How are you coping Pushing_Tin? I know the Eugene-ish area can get some horrible fog. Have you encountered any heavy fog yet and if so was visibility bad?

BTW AK yes those look horrible. There's got to be a better way to place them around the grill and hide them. Hmmmm |

^lol Subaru's come with more than one headlight?? I keed I keed. :D
I'm just worried about the Sept-Jan. months drive up to Portland in between the Brooks to Tualatin areas of I-5, those can get tricky. |
Glad it doesn't get that bad here in Jersey.
|
If Nissan has some snazzy 'incorporated automatic' fog light in the headlight assembly, we would have heard all about it.
Second, fog lights by design need to be low to the ground to illuminate below the fog layer and minimize reflection into the driver's eyes. A 'fog' light in the regular headlight assembly is called a headlight. |
|
^ anymore angles/shots?
|
|
Anyone else have any shots with fogs on, either LEDS or other aftermarket??

You know those OEM Nissan GTR LED daytime running lights run about $1400 a pair right?
I could find a LOT of things I'd rather spend $1400 on if you ask me haha. |
If i had a GTR I'd get those too :P
