Holes in front bumper!!!

Last night we decided to remove the front number plate bracket on my car and underneather the bracet there is the square number plate holder in which thebracket goes on to but... beneath that the are two reasonably large holes in the bumber! they are cut very uniform looks like factory done i will get a picture later to show you.. Any one notice this or know why its done..

they are here on the car..

Nothing like that on US spec cars....but our plate styles (and mounts) are different..

Mine has the license plate holder screwed into the black trim "mouth", and the holder itself wraps up and over the bumper where your holes are. The dealer ended up accidentally putting some marks on my bumper by using screws that were too long for the plate. I guess for South Africa they didn't bother to engineer a proper plate holder if it was a non-standard size.

Wrong! Nissan give "technical" written instructions to the dealers to drill two 2" holes on the bumper to attach the license plate holder because the screws that hold the license plate are too long.

Which is freaking STUPID!

My dealer made scratches on my bumper too because of tech used long screw...:shakes head:
but they repaint whole front bumper for me last week.:icon18:

Good, since you read the manual. In what section and page you found the instructions? Because Nissan Co. is denying that they wrote those instructions for the holes to be drill.

Thanks!

yah, dealers dont read the manual either looking at their botched splash guard install....
