Great article Cliff! I have been using this method for years, and it works beautifully, especially if you keep aware of cars in the right or left lane relative to you, that are speeding past you into the blind spot...... you can track them from the rear view mirror, to the side view mirror to the edge of your peripheral vision outside the window.

well... they might work if you did something about the carbon fiber plate. that is grade Si rice material right there but by the time you had real mounts made craftsquare will have their mirrors done.

I have no problem with the side view mirrors. As many mentioned here, with proper adjustments, they are more than enough for this car. Still, just to be in the safe side, I added blind spot mirror on the passenger side.

I also feel my Z has some blind spot issues. I'm planning to get the same blind spot mirrors as whoady4shoady, but would love a replacement that looks like the stock mirrors.
That EVOR Z is awful looking. I don't like the look of the mirrors either. feel bad for that car. Sad really.

If you change them out with new ones than you lose the auto functionality. Unless the new ones come with a motor then you could still do your on the fly adjustments. This is very important to me. I might just have to mod the stockies.

That's true. I don't want to lose the power function. Hopefully a manufacturer will come out with something soon.

I think it matter to those, like myself, that have to travel in high traffic to work, and because of inattentive drivers who zoom in and out of lanes.
I had Prova blue mirrors on my Subie which was the best investment I made. Gave me what I needed to see and it was super trick cause it was blue,....I no longer needed those ugly stick on concave mirrors anymore. I tried to find out if there was a local glass/mirror company that had something similiar that I could take a template to, but there is such thing in Hawaii.. Maybe someone can research this option as the Prova was simply blue glass you attach with 3M tape to your existing side mirror glass... Keep this thread alive if this is possible, and maybe do a group buy for your trouble...I would buy for sure!! |

im pretty sure thats possible..... a glass company over here does side mirror repair and like from wat i seen... they just stick a new mirror on the cracked one and glue it together with some epoxy or something and u cant tell the difference.... lol that blue tint isnt just like a overlay? or like a special film?
