high pitched whistling noise
Whenever I'm driving at freeway speeds and I step on the gas peddle, I can hear a very high pitched whistling noise. Almost like wind going through a very tight spot. It's not loud or anything and can only be heard if it silent in the car. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Another source of whistling is if you have one of the door A/C vents closed.

But why would it stop if I let off the gas peddle? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He's asking about age because younger people generally have better hearing. Young women in particular can often hear very high pitched noises that other cannot. Older folks won't notice them near as much. So grab that cute, young receptionist if you ever need help in that regard ;) |
If it's a whistle, I suspect something in the intake is making the noise. If it's a whine, then probably the ECM. Someone in the passenger seat should be able to tell if it's the ECM (ECM in in passenger footwell area; see FSM for details).
Unless it really bothers you, not worth worrying about. |

I guess I'll leave it alone for now. It's barley noticeable and that's after someone points it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
