Really? I thought the (main) point of a carbon fiber hood was weight reduction.

If you were to compare the average CF hood with a steel hood, it is lighter, but not so much when compared to our aluminum hood.

My Fugi hood is about the same weight as the oem. The oem is pretty damn light, the only issue is finding someone to cut holes in your oem and if you don't like it you are SOL. It just easier to buy a gorgeous CF hood if you got the cash.

This is a sweet looking hood not only from the outside but the finish on the inside is clean as well. The vents have some form of gutter to it. But since you are in land where it rarely rains, it is not an issue.
