Most CF hoods will not be lighter then stock.

Really? I thought the (main) point of a carbon fiber hood was weight reduction.

It is if it's "dry carbon".Most aftermarket hoods are a wet layup. The only commercially available light weight CF hoods are the Amuse hood, and the Varis VSDC hood. Both are $$$$$$.

*Keep in mind the factory hood is made from aluminum and relatively light weight to begin with.

Exactly.

If you were to compare the average CF hood with a steel hood, it is lighter, but not so much when compared to our aluminum hood.

My Fugi hood is about the same weight as the oem. The oem is pretty damn light, the only issue is finding someone to cut holes in your oem and if you don't like it you are SOL. It just easier to buy a gorgeous CF hood if you got the cash. :p

This is a sweet looking hood not only from the outside but the finish on the inside is clean as well. The vents have some form of gutter to it. But since you are in land where it rarely rains, it is not an issue.

This is really that im going to do someday on my Z... love the lok of the CF hoods and of course want more HP so im going to order the hood with a lot of vents hahaha!! how much hp i can get for vent +5 or +10:confused:

Just to make sure people are aware, Seibon does Dry carbon for the 370Zs also, And has a hatch available.
