Default Gloss black roof options

My last post got screwed up and went missing or something so this is a repost.

I got my roof gloss black vinyl wrapped a while ago, but the thought of a full replacement or having it painted sprung into my mind. Has anyone done either of those? Obviously they'd be much more expensive and they're not as easily reversed as a vinyl wrap but they would last longer and look much better I would imagine. I think I saw the cost for a roof panel on a parts site was around $600, but that was probably unpainted.

The gloss black roof wrap with a pearl white looks so good and I think a painted/replaced roof in gloss black would just take to another level.

Also, has anyone had their rims refinished? I love the stock ones but they have some mild curb rash from the previous owner. I was considering getting them refinished as well as either a black/dark gray front lip cover for the fang area and potentially the back area with the exhaust (just the small portion at the bottom where it kind of indents).

Back: http://i.imgur.com/ue5z96y.jpg
Front: http://i.imgur.com/Rl7wigJ.jpg

I've seen lip covers for the front but I could only find CF and I don't care much for it personally. The back seems like it would have to be painted or wrapped, and I'm not sure if I want to have another wrap done.

not on my Z but I had my old BMW roof painted when it was new last year. I get a deal with my bodyshop, but its about a 400 dollar job usually.

How did that turn out? I love how it looks now, but after a couple days the vinyl wrap seems to lose the gloss look and I feel a painted roof would stay glossy a bit longer.

I only had the car 10 months, but it turned out to look OEM. I was going to do wrap initially, but the wrap guy said it would only last a year or two before fading.

I'm just not a fan of cheaping out and half assing things.

How is the vinyl wrap holding up? I have PW and was thinking about wrapping the roof in gloss back.

You could get a roof cap in carbon fiber from fly1 motorsports if you're into the carbon look

Not really into the CF look, but thanks.

That looks nice, got a few more months of payments and then I think I may get it painted gloss black.

It's holding up alright for the 2 months or so I've had it. I have a small cut on one area that you wouldn't notice if you weren't looking for it. There's some areas where the vinyl wrap is kind of peeling as there wasn't any easy way to get to it (mainly between the back end of the roof, under/in between the trunk) although it's hidden. It starts to look kind of flat after a few days, loses the gloss look.

Talking My idea...........

I originally did mine in 3m vinyl which looked nice only cost me $100 bucks but then changed the theme of my ride to have CF parts so I changed the roof to the Gloss 4D carbon fiber wrap and totally love this stuff it looks awesome in person and matches my real CF parts almost identical...anyways I def. recommend it.
