Did this change in the later year cars? Mine is attached with clips. Had to buy a new one from Nissan when my drivers side one broke.

There should be two clips and a pawl. I never had any issues with removal, though. Mine just pull right off.

humm... i would take an interior panel removal tool and gently pry it off in this case.
