Evo-R fog light issue (need help plz)

Hey guys!

I just installed my new Evo-R fog light but I'm having a weird issue.

Like the instructions says, I did wire the black wire with the black one, the red with the red one and the white wire with the green one.

The fog light will stay on all the time, even if the lights are on or off.

It seems that its always on 12V like I was pressing the brakes all the time.

I connected my wires right after the grommet in the trunk.

Any ideas why its doing that?

Thanks!

I already read this DIY but its not working. Starting to wonder if my LED module in the fog light is working as its suppose to.

Get a meter or a 12v bulb and connect it to the same pair of wires that goes to your fog light. If the meter always shows 12-14v or the bulb is constantly lit, then it's not the fault of the fog light.

Will check that out thanks

I installed the Euro factory one which I know is different but as far as wiring I remember a pink/red wire being the brake light. Could be wrong though that was two years ago now.
Like DIGI said you could test with a meter to check for the brake wire.

All 3 wiring must be connected when test it. If test one by one will not light up correctly.

Ok so all 3wires connected on the car, black on black, red on red and green on white. The red wire is giving 12v all the time and the white/green wire give 12v when brake is applied.

One thing I notice is that my car is, for some reason, with light off and brake pedal off, is having the fog light fully light up and oem tail light like i was on day running light mode (half the intensity of the brake light)

Any one have a clue? Maybe a bad LED module?

Rear fog light

What I did when I installed my light is wired it directly into my left tail light. I only wanted it to light up when I braked, so I had someone press the brake and found the hot wire. The green wire, when hot, makes the light blink and is for hazards, turn signals, actually whatever you want it to do... You don't have to go exactly by the how to sheet that is sent with the light. I didn't even use the green wire.

So they way you set it up, does it just light up solid when you break or flashes when you break?

Since he didn't use the green wire which causes the flashing im guessing it just lights up solid when braking.

Sicnarf 07-22-2015 11:18 AM

It always light up solid, break or not. It never flashes

Sicnarf 07-22-2015 11:29 AM

I'm using the green wire btw, connected on the white one from the fog light

Sicnarf 07-28-2015 09:03 AM

Anyone would have a clue to what I could test next?
