It happened to me 1 month after I bought the car and 1 week after the recall!

Found info on this forum, beat the crap out of it and nothing.

Started working fine the next day and I followed the instructions and pulled the fuse. Haven't heard it lock since.

Now only if there was an easy fix like that for the CSC that has me paranoid.

Moral of the story...
PULL THE DAMN FUSE BOX! lol
Also that, Life is expensive and unless you know how or can do it yourself, it will always cost an arm and a leg to be done.

it's a deterrent for petty thieves like a lock on your front door to the house, someone can still kick it in if committed.

another is that if you are parallel parking on a hill, the lock helps to keep the steering wheel turned and locked in place in case the curb sort of gives our or something... ?

Is there a way to fight so that the Cars that are not in the recall can be included?? Sounds like discrimination since they knowing continued to use the same faulty device in Cars that were manufactured during the same time period and are experiencing the same issue? This is a huge Liability issue since it goes out without warning?? My 2010 with less than 50K miles has this same issue...!! Not happy at all!
