Questions Regarding Painting
Hello Guys,
I've had my car for about little over 5 years. My front bumper has some chips from freeways and I am planning on getting an aftermarket front/rear bumpers. I am pretty new to installing aftermarket body parts and I just wanted to get some feel for it for pricing. I asked one of the vendor how much would installation of each bumpers would cost and they replied and told me that the installation would cost around $200-$300 and painting would cost $350-$400 per bumper... Now correct me if I am wrong but these numbers sounds bit high for me... Can someone verify this for me? Please correct me if i am wrong... I just think paint job for each bumper is $350-$400 bit hard to believe... Even the installation sounds bit expensive... |
not far off if it is a reputable shop that is good at blending paint. which you need for something like this! im looking at having my front bumper and hood repainted OEM and its gonna run me $1100 or so. $1800 for the fenders as well

and keep in mind i work at a car dealership so thats a slightly discounted price

Not sure about the cost for prep and painting, but you can literally remove and reinstall the front piece in under 10 minutes. Not hard to do at all.

have to agree on the install/ removal part. popped my front off to go gen3 intakes and was quite quick.
hahah id be like here match this, then walk out into the parking lot and pop the front and rears on myself. |
Considering possible fitment issues with aftermarket bumpers, id expect to pay 500 each.
