Door keeps autolocking

Hey guys, so I got into my car drove it, arriveed at my destination, turned the car off, and opened the door. The door didnt open. I noticed it was locked, so I tried to press the lock back to unlock it (the actual silver button, not the lock/ unlock switch by the window switches), and it wouldnt budge. No matter how hard i pressed it, the thing wouldnt move. So i tried using the lock/ unlock switch by the window switches. Wala! the doors unlocked, but then maybe a quarter of a second later they locked again. This happens consistently and is not on the occasion. Now the only way I can get in or out my car is to hold the unlock button down on the key fob so that the windows roll down, reach into my car, press the 'unlock' button by the window switches and once it unlocks, I have to quickly try to open the door within that quarter second time frame, before it locks again. Its a HUGE pain in the a**. I also noticed that when i finally get into my car and close the door, the doors automatically lock before I even turn the car on, and theres this obnoxious rapid beeping sound coming from outside of the car (I've been hearing that sound on the occasion throughout the last few months). Any ideas why this is happening!?

Never heard of anything like this before. Subbed to see if anybody comes up with a diagnosis/solution.

If nobody comes up with anything, try pulling the battery terminal and push on the brake pedal for a few seconds. This should reset all electronic modules. Replace terminal and see if it fixed itself. You'll have to reset the windows and radio presets.

huh...does the door auto lock even when the door(s) is ajar?

Does it also happen to passenger's side door?

After doing work on speakers I had the same issue, I cant recall very well how I fixed it, I had to take my door back off and mess about with the locking mechanism and then followed through with random bug fixes like the windows reset, killing power to the car and playing with the lock/unlock buttons in the car and on the key FOB to find a pattern I could use to get it fixed and I believe the button mashing was the cure

I would assume if you have not done anything different lately or "opened up" your car, perhaps you should follow through with killing power by disconnecting the battery followed by other suggestions.

If all else fails, dealership

Ya both doors do the exact same thing when they're both open and closed. I'm actually taking my car to the shop today to fix a little fender bender accident as well as some custom work. Maybe they can help figure it out. If all else fails then definitely dealership

Have you tried taking the battery out of your key fob? It might be something as simple as the lock button is stuck on the fob. Or the micro switch beneath it. Take the battery out and try your other fob.

The obnoxious rapid beeping sound you're hearing. Is that the same lock/unlock sound you would normally hear when you press the door request switch but sped up as if you were repeatedly clicking unlock?

If you were not previously hearing the lock/unlock sound have you checked your extended storage switch? That turns off features like the lock/unlock chime.
