Thanks! I got a good deal and bought it for 350, its just the regular black FRP though

AK370Z 06-11-2015 11:10 PM

such a good piece! almost 6 years later, NE salt and harsh weather, 300+ autox runs and hot exhaust temp -- it still looks brand new. keep the clear coat fresh with sealant.

Got_Z 06-12-2015 02:31 AM

Love mine too! I went with CF though but the fitment is on point! Makes the car look slightly lower too.

I used the VHB double sided tape, doubled up on top and down the curves to the side, also used the screws that came with the diffuser.

kenchan 06-14-2015 06:09 PM

nice! VHB ftw

Thinking of re-doing the diffuser/VHB. Can somebody send me the link to the cheapest place to obtain the strongest VHB without coming out of pocket $50..Thanks

Amazon is the cheapest I have found the 3M VHB. I picked up some for $32 which is more than enough for this application.

3M VHB Tape

I ordered mine from RHDJapan and it took just under 2 months to get it in. I still need to break down and install mine.

Looks good, just need to paint rear silencer/ muffler matt black.

1st 06-17-2015 01:31 AM

Can't say I'm feeling that suggestion. Everything on my car matches. The plate frame matches the cbe and my wheel lips..

Not the exhaust tips, the part behind it whatever you call it here, silencer / muffler? Paint with matt black HT paint.

Most cars / performance cars' rear bumper diffuser is designed as such to hide the silencer / muffler not expose.

Either way, looks great

I recently picked up a pack of Locktite double sided tape from Walmart for under $10. This stuff holds like a MF and it grabs instantly! An entire roll of this stuff has the adhesive strength to hold up to 100#!

kenchan 06-24-2015 10:49 AM

i used VHB 5952 on mine.

not coming off any time soon. :D

They all look nice. The question is, are these diffusers actually functional, or are they just for looks? I've never heard about the functionality on our cars.

Thanks

axmea? 09-06-2015 11:51 PM

For looks. Even those on Mercs are for looks. On our Z's, these piece looks amazing.

evil370z 09-07-2015 12:12 AM

can't wait for my aerojacket df1 carbon diffuser to come in .. also carbon duckbill ahhh, but that does look so nice. i just couldn't wait a month to receive it lol.

Smashley 09-07-2015 12:40 AM

Is there one for the 2015 Nismo yet?

lesper4 09-08-2015 02:23 PM

I just got the DF1 and when looking at all these diffusers it looks as through the bottom center light is mounted behind the diffuser? Is that correct.

x10370zx 10-08-2015 01:26 AM

Will this fit ok with FI exhaust? Thanks.

I would say yes, I'm sure you can adjust the gap with additional washers on the hangers if needed.
