airbag light
 

hey my fellow z enthusiasts. my car has never been crashed, but the airbag light is flashing. the dealer wants 4ooo to change out pass. seat/ sensor and labor. they can lick my oilpan for that. does anybody know how to put the light out, or how to take speedo gauge out so i can "tap light" until it breaks, but is still attached, as to complete circuit? is there a page that shows how to remove speedo gauge and disassemble? there was a thread as how to put light into diagnostic mode, then reset- but i did that sequence many times to no avail. so CAN A MASTER "DOITYERSELF" TECHNITION FROM BACKYARD GARRAGE, OR A REALLY SMART PERSON ON THE THREAD HELP ME OUT? Put it into diagnostic mode and then use the link above to figure out which error code it's giving. If it's really the passenger sensor, I would just purchase one and put it in yourself.

I wouldn't ignore an SRS error. Fix it the right way.
