Anybody have any idea where I can find carbon fiber mirror caps like the ones in the picture I submitted ....besides with Evo R or the Z store Neither one of these vendors have them in stock and they're talking about having to wait 6 to 8 weeks I really want these mirror caps right now!!!!! do you know where else I can get them any ideas are appreciated thanks guys

FYI OP,the caps the Z store sells are MADE by EVO-R.
The track record of getting anything on time from EVO-R is
pretty bad. The caps are made in Taiwan. Obviously EVO-R is
waiting for the next batch to arrive(maybe).
I got mine a year ago. Not a fan of wrapping the mirrors. Rather
have real carbon fiber.
If you do get e'm,check carbon fiber accent covers for the mirror base.
They really complete the look.
ZCF is the only source that I am aware that sells e'm.
They are on ebay.

YES this was my original thought as well... LOOKS GREAT,,,,However I have taken it to 3 different "wrap guys" and they all told me it cant be done because the "curve" was too great and that it will peel off...so I guess I need to hit up your guy because obviously he was able to do them please shoot me his info and pricing if available thanx...............:happydance:

Thanx for the info....yes I have been reading the threads on the CF stuff from EVO R but there are very limited vendors who can get these ....for what ever reason?????....I have checked with the Z store and they are telling me 2 months out at least ???? just ridiculous IMO....... iVE been looking throughout the internet for months and cant find VERY Many alternitives so anyways I guess im just gonna have to wait but thanx again for the info

I got mine from EVO-R around christmas and fitment was 98%. CF look is 99%

I actually did it myself. The trick is to leave enough material after the curve to adhere to a flat surface. The first time I did it, I cut it too close to the curve and it did start peeling from the tension.

yah, id have to wrap it around 180 degrees for the leading edges. this is why i asked if the caps were easy to remove. i think they sell adhesion promoter too, which would help the edges wrapped inside the mirror cap from lifting.

what about a CF wrap with a few coats of clear ;)

i dont think u can clear the vinyl and get good results. at least ive not seen it done here.

I have mines wrapped on red for more than a year now and the still look awesome :tup: you have to find a good shop that work on that and you are going to be fine ;)

You guys should try the 4D CF wrap. When I couldn't find anyone who would wrap my headlights with real CF I used this for the meantime. Still have plans to do real CF but this has worked just fine.

You get more of the CF depth, texture and a better gloss finish. I wish I had a comparison for you guys but I let the guy who did my headlights keep my 4D wrap. When I get a chance after work I'll see if I can get a good shot of the headlights next to some 3M CF wrap for comparison.

Wow this looks amazing I think for the. Small amount of money it's worth a shot ....I'm going to buy it and do a roof wrap I currently have a black roof wrap right now but this will go better the other carbon fiber parts that I bought( rear spoiler door handles B pillars)... thanks for the great idea and info I will let you know and post pictures on the end result

ended up going with the EVO R mirror caps and took the advice and purchased the 4D Carbon fiber vinyl absolutely love the quality and look of this stuff looks almost identical to the real CF parts I have on the car I def recommend it I bought it from the link to amazon that was posted I wrapped the rear diffuser and roof in it .....

It's hard to see anything from far away. Can you get some close up shots? :tiphat:
