Aftermarket Seats

Hola friendZ!

So, I've been doing some research on seats as of lately. It is one of the next steps I've gotta hit with my car. My most major concern is seat clearance in regards to height. I'm pretty tall coming in at 6'3" and weighing in at 210.

What seat and rail combos are you taller people running?

Obviously a lower combination would be preferred.

Thanks for the help!

I run Bride Vios III's and Bride FO rails. Only 6'1" here but even with a helmet on I'm not touching the ceiling.

i have recaro poles seats with buddy club rails/bracket.. pretty low combo.. i for one trying to look for something higher since im 5"7...the buddyclub rails brings it lower then stock alot imo..

Man... I'm drooling for the '15 NISMO seats.

The 15' Nismo recaro's are lame. If it was a full seat, they would be great. But they still utilize the regular OEM bottoms. That is my only gripe with them.

What is your waist size, that is a big factor for us wide bodied folks as well. I'm 35" and I set in a Status GT, they pinch me right on the hip bone just enough to be uncomfortable.

Status GTX and buddy club super low. You can see how low the seats are w/ the rails.

so what setups is there?
-buddyclub seat base with rails (seems to be the lowest so far)
-plants seat base (needs rail)
-Corbeau Seat base with rails
-sparco seat base (needs rail)
?
?
?

Do the Buddy Club rails work with seats that recline?

I currently have Bride MO rails with Takata Drift Pro seats. They sit higher than stock.

Really? That stinks. I didn't sit in, but it looks better than our stock seats (well nicer material than my cloth base seats). I think the seats I've looked at were Bride Stradia. So expensive.

Gale, they're side mounts, so most likely not. And to be honest, it took a little bit of maneuvering to get them to fit the GTX. My brackets have some tension so it causes my sliders to bind when I try to slide it forward and back.

yea mine is not smooth either when sliding front and back.. the flaw in the buddy club brackets/rails is that it is 2 seperated brackets instead of 1 whole base holding it all together.. it's too much messing around with it to try to get it to parallel perfectly
