very light use of a heat gun or hair dryer since the heat is a bit less intense. I'd probably try doing it myself. The dealer might scrape/lift/damage the paint.

Take it to the dealership, you risk leaving residue or peeling the paint if you take it off yourself. Hopefully if it's within the 3 day window they'll do it without a fuss. If not, threaten to leave the dealership really bad reviews all over the internet and that you will email corporate. I did this on subway, and got my meal copped for 3 months straight plus a cookie.

I had my own post about this a couple months ago but when I removed mine I found scratches underneath it that the dealer was trying to conceal!!! They made good on it and repaired it tho. So you might make the dealer do it just in case.
If you warm it up with a hair dryer it comes right off. Just grab it with your finger nails and pull slowly. Mine left no residue because I took it off when the car was 1 day old as soon as I saw it. Last edited by jmayz; 06-01-2015 at 01:40 PM. |

My dealer didn't put one on.
I did have to trash the license plate bracket though.
