I just saw a setup similar to this one with the shifter and boot on an auto 350Z yesterday and I thought it looked pretty nice. It's by MOMO. The only difference was the boot was black and the shifter was a straight cylinder. What do you guys think?

the delrin we have at work must be industrial grade then it's white, self-lubricating tough as hell, hard to turn a finish on, and makes better bushings than it does high quality interior pieces, either way alcantra would plow plastic out of the water for feel/finish, why not get it recovered?

will that momo knob work on a 370 since its button is on the front side?

Let me know if you find a knob that works.

I agree with the previous poster who said he wants the shifter post to be shorter...anyone know how this can be done? It would be cool if the height could be the same as on the GT-R.

On that note, anyone think the GT-R knob would work? Also, perhaps the GT-R shifter post is interchangeable with ours?

Just a thought...

Yes, Imtired on here has one fitted already. Apparently the mechnics of the 370z button are actually on the top of the shaft, so the Momo works.

Here's a link to the thread, as I was interested to see how the standard knob comes off.

I think this look good. It's the momo shift knob with a boot.

Don't mean to change the topic of this thread, but has anyone changed their hand brake.

hey guys I have a question. If our 370z's shift button presses down to work, can't we just put any MoMo's shift knob that has no button because then that button will be always pressed and we will be just changing P to D without pressing the button. ??? can this work???

If the button is pushed down all the time you will get a warning on the gas gauge cluster. It will want you to put it into park to start the car even though it's already in park. This happened to me when I put my knob on a bit to low on the shaft.
I don't remember exactly but I don't think I was able to start the car without loosening and raising the knob.

It would be great if the metal collar on the momo knob was flush with the bottom of the shift gate, but I have no idea how far the button mechanism extends into the shaft of the shifter.

Someone much braver than I should hack one up.

Dunno, but there's a possibility that the GTR knob will work.
