Factory Back Up Camera

Is this the factory Backup camera? Its not drilled in, and its all one piece... I recently purchased the car and there is no camera screen in the cabin? Do you think that someone took my camera rearview out?

What does the connector look like for the rear view mirror (With camera)? Any Pics? Mine has 3 wires. I looked up my rearview model number and its not the camera one? Do you think I could just add the factory rear view mirror and have a back up camera?

Yes, that angled black piece in the blurry background of your photo is the rear view camera. It may or may not be OEM. If you have an OEM one, it displays on the navigation screen. If you are trying to hook it up with an aftermarket mirror (like one of the Gentex models), then you will have to have the mirror that has an LCD screen behind the mirror to show the camera display. If you have a mirror that does not have the LCD screen, it will not be able to display a rear view camera.

I know the 2015s have the rear view mounted with the plate light. You can buy a rear view camera like that

Here is the camera that came with my gentex lcd mirror I added.

I believe the camera had 3 wires going into a white plastic connector that clips onto the wire harness ran from the mirror. The harness from the mirror needed to be tapped into power, ground and reverse signal.
