Car smells like sour fungus feet

I'm 100% dead serious. This is not a troll post.

So I've recently notice this putrefying smell. This occurs every time when I start my car. (Vents allowing air in). I can stop this from Locking the air from coming in or I can turn on my ac for like 10 sec and turn it off and the air will be ok again.

I like having air coming in and I dont want to turn on ac every time I start the car for 10 sec. Anyone else have this problem? I thought it was because the car is new but now, I'm really starting to doubt that.

And yes i;ve checked. No dead animals stuck under my car.

You might want to try going to auto parts store or check in line and buy some evaporator core cleaner/deodorizer. I've not heard much of this issue with 370z but I have with other cars where the evaporator core doesn't fully drain and the remaining water (after running ac) will lay there and bacteria will grow. Usually people will claim the smell like cat urine. To solve this . Spray up the drain tube with cleaner. The foam will expand up into the evap core and clean it. Then you can either repeat every time it begins to smell again OR every time you drive with ac on you turn ac off and switch to fan only for last couple of minutes of your drive.

If not then perhaps something crawled up and died in your dash.

Sour feet, cat urine, and red oak all have a very similar smell...

Check and change your ac filter. It's behind the glove box. And clean the evap coil like ken wood said. That should do the trick. Definitely sounds like you're getting some stagnant water in the drain pan. Check the drain if you can.

Also, i see your car is a '14. If it's under warranty, you can try letting the dealer deal with it.

most likely moisture build up.

Turn your AC off a few minutes before reaching your destination. This is just condensation in your vents as it returns to normal temps after you've been driving around with the AC blasting. Run the air without AC before you reach your destination and you should stop getting that issue. The warmer air will normalize the temperature and dry any condensation that gathers.

Check evap drain tube under car.

Keep ac on at all times

Go take a shower

Stop picking up filthy hookers! You gotta be selective. Go for the clean ones!

In Kentucky, it is state law that you have to take a bath at least once a year.

I know the exact smell, left a pair of old wet shoes in the hot 80F garage, next morning the smell knocked me out. If its under warranty, take it back to dealer.
