UPDATE 29th June 2016

Unfortunately because of current workload of line of products we are discontinuing this item. We will advise anyone who purchased this in the past and has any issue please contact so we can get it corrected, all units were sold with one year warranty for peace of mind.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7th September 2015

Kit ONE:
Comes with 7' screen, HDMI cable, rotary joystick, control module, and optional extra sensor ports

Here are the details and purchase details in Gb thread

Console comes in three finishes and design is simple but without airlift module as in DEMO pics its just the joystick by default.

Console FRP
Console FRP painted matte black
Console CF
Console Wrapped in leather and alcantara additional

Everything working in the pics and video is only via OBDII, but for boosted guys following are optional sensors needed if any of these readings are needed, oil temp does come via OBDII and all other. There is a port for these already in the module so all what is needed is hooking up the sensors and two or three wires in the module

Below are additional sensors incase anyone needs these

Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) K-Type thermocouple probe sensor
Oil Temperature Sensor
Boost (MAP) Pressure Sensor
Intake Air Temperature Sensor
Intercooler Air Temperature Sensor
Fuel Temperature Sensor
Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor
Gearbox Oil Temperature Sensor
Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor
Fuel Pressure Sensor
Oil Pressure Sensor / Sender
AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) Wideband Controller Functionality

Kit TWO:

Its for people already with navi screen, kit comes with, rotary joystick, control module, and optional extra sensor ports in the module

OBDII reader with cable is needed for both kits

For Navi screen guys there is not need for screen and buyer will keep all existing functionalities of stock screen like navi, audio etc.

We created a new thread when saw some people were interested in the GTR style guage/screen we have.

Normally biggest size it comes in is 4.3" as below with an option of 6 reading in one go and there is a joystick to move around or change the parameters. In total you can have 12 or more parameters. There is a lot of customization possibility people can run one/two/four gauges at a time which makes the size bigger. It comes with installed parameters to be measured from OBD or direct from sensors and boost and A/F sensor is optional. People can use existing AEM/DEFI/other Air Fuel ratio sensors as well and plug an output to display A/F in this screen

http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6jdf2gga.png

These pictures of same size screen 4.3" fabricated in G37 Coupe made a bracket in FRP for the screen to be placed in sunglass holder

There is another option to have one to three small screens to be installed on A pillar
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...psmves7kig.jpg
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1b5b9zax.jpg
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...psblimxy3k.jpg

Also round gauges for top three meters

http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...psfeon9dix.jpg

And can be hooked up to an android tablet as well

http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...pscql1s2dw.jpg

Lots of options but as we saw more people interested we worked out a better option in addition to these. 7" screen similar size as OEM navi ones and we will make a cubby console in multiple finishes (FRP/painted/leather wrapped/vinyl wrapped/CF) and integrated joystick to use the features of the screen along with CS touches. This piece should be a straight fit in non navi cars. We still need to do RnD for the screen holder which we will do once we see the interest need more people to make it work for 7" screen. It will have optional nissan or Z logo as well in one of the place can be kept or removed.

Another good feature is this can be plugged with OBDII port for non FI cars and people can still enjoy getting all the available reading.

The graphics are very smooth and sensors works spot on we have used in few cars and guy are really happy with the outcome. Below are the pictures of 7" screen done in R34 with GTR logo.

http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...pszhqk4pij.jpg
http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...pslsqj1vp0.jpg

We will offer with an opening logo for 1 sec then an option to run Z/Nissan/CS logo the whole time

Frost prototype

http://i1124.photobucket.com/albums/...pszd0hapcj.jpg

We can open a GB thread if atleast 10 people are there to offer this price

Cost breakdown:
Screen (HDMI cable, rotary joystick, Boost port sensor): 650$
Boost sensor (if someone needs): 60$
AFR wideband controller and sensor: 240$ (for people already having wideband sensor installed can be offered with an input port of free then no need to buy this AFR)
OBDII reader with cable: 120$

Total price ranges from 770$ (screen+OBDII) to 1070$ (Screen+Boost+AFR+OBDII)

Console will in price range of 150$-450$ ranges from FRP to CF and can be done in vinyl/leather/alcantara wrapped.

These prices are assuming a GB

this is absolutely something I would be interested in come fall/ winter. Sub'd for pics of your fabrication in the cubby hole.

Im curious could the joy stick be routed to the dummy switches in the center console?

androger 04-07-2015 08:56 AM

sub'd!

bullitt5897 04-07-2015 09:12 AM

One thing that is a must is adjustable screen brightness!!!!

Rid3_FaM0uS 04-07-2015 09:21 AM

I actually think I would jump on board this one. ive been waiting for someone to drop something like this for our cars

Asheth 04-07-2015 09:36 AM

Sub'd

Nissanboy 04-07-2015 09:46 AM

What I want to know is how to get those kind of gauges using the factory navi screen

brancky3 04-07-2015 09:57 AM

How does this compare with a Nexus 7 running the Torque app? What are the advantages going with this setup?

bryan_Z34 04-07-2015 10:39 AM

I can't wait to see the final product of that 7" screen. Consider me your first buyer For my nismo

gbrettin 04-07-2015 11:13 AM

Subbed

Aviator44 04-07-2015 11:37 AM

Of course this gets posted right after I molded an iPad Mini mount into my dash. The setup looks good! Props for the innovation!

dkznyc 04-07-2015 11:40 AM

sub. need to see final product and price to see if its worth it for me.

CarbonSignal 04-07-2015 11:49 AM

Guys price is there in first post.

Prototype will be done if enough interest is there

Do it!!

gomer_110 04-07-2015 12:39 PM

Two questions:

1) What items from the OBDII connection can be displayed?
2) Any chance of an option for logging data to a SD card (preferably in .csv format)?

zefaulter 04-07-2015 02:58 PM

very interesting... too much $, not enough ROE for my N/A Z. I can see the benefits for boosted Z for sure. i'm curious if this can be enabled to do more than just gauges. maybe backup camera?

Can you guys fabricate tablet mounts?

valpozguy 04-07-2015 03:02 PM

Interested and subed! :)

We plan to put the joystick in front on screen where stock navi knob is making some grooves for the knob so it looks in place in the cuby hole replacement piece. But for any custom order it should be a big issue to mobe around the joystick.

Yes dimmer can be there but we were thinking to put on port linked to headlights when you turn those on screen goes dim.

Not sure what the port in OEM navi screen if AV/HDMi is there can be projected there

not sure haven't used torque app but here we can offer kit with android app and can display same upto 14 readings. Can provide additional sensors which can be read from OBDII

Changing wont be that difficult

I need to get a list from some reliable source which inputs are there in our OBDII connection.

SD so far there isint any provision but we can inquire if can be done, but as of now there is no reader as well

Can you guys fabricate tablet mounts?

The screen has an AV input and a pin for signal of the reverse light for an auto switch to AV once you engage the reverse gear so yes camera works fine.

We can look into fabrication but not sure if that works out better in terms or shipping back and forth.

bullitt5897 04-08-2015 08:50 AM

I would tie it in with the instrument cluster dimming buttons. As that is where most people will be adjusting brightness of their displays... I know at night I turn everything as low as possible to increase night vision... especially in lowered cars and on wet roads...

As I said it will be linked with headlight which can be by default plus additionally dimmer option.

roplusbee 04-08-2015 04:48 PM

This looks like a nice option. I am looking forward to seeing this installed in the cubby.

looks sweet guys.

nice job.

DIGItonium 04-10-2015 09:24 AM

I'm actually talking to someone about these digital gauges in the pictures shown, called Zada Tech. There's a 7" option, but the site has not been updated. I'm also going to see if additional parameters can be decoded and displayed.
Zada Tech

CarbonSignal 04-10-2015 09:47 AM

Yeah we are the agent/partners for them for gcc and USA. And working on some other prototypes

Awesome. I haven't purchased anything yet, but I'm talking to Matin about the ODB2 data for our Z. I asked him to see if he can find a local Z owner to help him test it out.

I'll give him a heads up, so hopefully by the time you get the orders in he'll be able to support displaying data for our cars.

OBD2 parameters we have sorted out already as that's the basic package which will be offered along with some room for customization. We will be start working on making a custom cubby hole holder in a weeks time

DIGItonium 04-10-2015 12:45 PM

Let's say we remove the cubby holder entirely. Do you think you can fab an elegant solution and provision space for the joystick, indicators, and room for things like switches, boost control panel, etc.? Like with PC cases with blank 5.25" bay panels. Maybe you can do something like that, so one does not have to destroy the entire assembly cutting into it.

I imagine this route is cheaper than getting the whole OEM navigation panel for $400.

nismo13807 04-11-2015 12:04 AM

interesting!

What we planning to to make a piece (vinyl wrapped/painted/CF/alcantara) which will go INSIDE cuby hole so easier to install and elegant looking and will have joystick placed as well, but so far no provision for any other switches or anything as can be done as custom order. So all what is needed is to remove the lid of cubby hole and install the whole thing no cutting or destroying.

And all this will be straight hooked to OBD2 for a set number of parameters we looking at not going in CAN bus, we want to keep it simple and functional and catered to wider audience. Any one with FI can add extra features along with sensors required.

Let us know what else or whats the minimum guys want to read from OBD2 if something interesting can add in our exsisting list.

roplusbee 04-12-2015 07:51 AM

I'm confused. Why would you need to have this type of monitoring capability if your not going or already FI? I guess it's good for bling factor, but make sure that it is fully capable (for whatever setup) from the start instead of adding things later.

There isint any confusion check the first post. Boost and AFR is optional as not needed for everyone rest is all same.

The factory OBD2 output is pretty robust in the Z with how much data can be read.
From having an actual water temp gauge, oil pressure, or even intake temp would be nice for many people (especially track people). And if carbonsignal can also allow for the data to be downloaded that would be even more impressive.

Downloading so far looks difficult we don't want to spend too much time on working on parameters else it wont move further, what decided is we will offer a list of variables most likely keep 15-20 so comes in three screens of 6 plus an added advantage of customization what people would like to see in first 6 then second 6 and so on.

We are working and most likely error codes could be read as well.

DIGItonium 04-14-2015 08:54 AM

Interesting. So for the cubby holder, this is for the 4.3" screen? Have you checked out the 7" display? :)

CarbonSignal 04-14-2015 09:31 AM

No we are working on 7" one

theDreamer 04-14-2015 10:25 AM

7" is ideal it is what I used and what the factory OEM Nav uses.
Anything smaller and you will probably only be able to 2-3 gauges clearly.
