Ok......interesting enough. Patiently waiting......

DIGItonium 04-24-2015 12:53 PM

Zada Tech is needing some help finding someone with a Z in the UK to help test and add Nissan proprietary ODB parameters to decode and display with their ODBII module.

Unique_Z 04-24-2015 01:52 PM

Looking forward for the finished look.

Carbon_z 04-30-2015 02:03 PM

Cant wait :)

Just thought i'd throw this out there..Do you plan to angle it at all towards the driver? Or are you guys just going to mount it flat?

bryan_Z34 05-04-2015 11:00 AM

This can't come any sooner!!

James10694 05-04-2015 12:43 PM

I would definitely buy this if I was FI

CarbonSignal 05-11-2015 06:25 AM

Finally layout design is complete for the Z all the data will come from OBDII.

Masterbeatty 05-11-2015 11:07 AM

Of course but as this is going in a local demo car so it's as per units used here

Z eliminator 05-11-2015 12:23 PM

can we have the RPM instead of the speedometer?

Wow, you just went far and beyond my expectations and requests from Zada Tech. Was he able to get a hold of a Z to test on?

As long as you can pull it off ODB2, I'm sure you can. I really like the AFR reading although I'm being recommended that I still need an external wideband anyway. [sigh] haha

theDreamer 05-12-2015 08:00 AM

This is looking great, but I would agree, boost & AFR will probably need to not come from OBD2. Since boost pressure is not outputted via our cars and the AFR readings seem to not be 100% accurate.

I know on a few of our CARPC setups we are utilizing PLX devices to read Boost/ETC via USB.

Works like a charm but interested to see if this is possible with this system.

Looks amazing!

This is just the OBD2 setup. You will be able to monitor boost and AFRs separately if you want.

CarbonSignal 05-12-2015 10:18 AM

The beauty of our setup is that you can upgrade on the go and it caters both NA & FI cars

If your car isn't heavily modified ( at least for now :) ) you still can use the setup and it will ready all the info the OBD provide.

Once you decide to go to the dark side of FI. You won't have to get rid of your setup and go for gauges . All you will do is to buy sensors ( boost, fuel pressure..etc) and the screen will read them.

As for the AFR. Since 2006 Nissan have a upgraded the O2 sensors to WB sensors ... They might not be as accurate as aftermarket ones but it will be good enough to prevent a damage to happen to your engine . And more over. We can configure the screen to work with some of the aftermarket sensors like the haltech dual band for example.

conor1123 05-12-2015 12:07 PM

My plan for this is exactly that hah! Buy it and use it for OBD2 NA then change things up once turbos come!:stirthepot::stirthepot:

Carbon signal that looks fantastic. How much for everything but the screen, I've got an input to a T harness that converts Composite to RGB, so I'd only need the OBD capture and composite video out to use it on my OE navi screen.
Or, if you aren't interested in that approach, can you recommend an OBD reader with a Composite video output?

TIA

Read the first post for pricing (approx) details. If anyone wants to use navi screen it's possible only with HDMI input. With HDMI all you would need is cables and our controller unit no need for joystick and screen

I would love to see the bezel for a 7inch screen. I have a nexus 7 I want to retrofit.

Spooler 06-03-2015 11:32 PM

I am interested in this also. Make the screen fit in the stupid useless dash cubby hole.

.c2 06-07-2015 08:21 PM

Does the OBD II provide oil pressure readings? If so I am down to buy one for the center cubby!!

I couldn't find it in Cipher. It would be nice since it'll allow me to ditch the external gauge and sensor.

Oil pressure yes but via external sensor which we will provide as well

Fountainhead 06-10-2015 02:53 PM

Carbon Signal,
Do you sell the Alcantera leather like material used on the Dash?

Also I have a comp input on my Bose Navi courtesy of the Navi/Camera setup add on so I can send Component video to my Bose screen. Is there an option to use your OBD pickoff point to send OBD information by Component video output?

.c2 06-10-2015 04:13 PM

Nice.. I just ordered my oil pressure gauge last month but it hasn't arrived yet. Any ETA on this? If it's not too long I may just sell my gauge back out and pick up one of these aha

conor1123 06-10-2015 04:21 PM

Yeah, where are you guys at with this?

CarbonSignal 06-10-2015 11:54 PM

Did the console but stopped for other work starting again next week on it

^This! Would be great if there was an interface, cable, or some way to make the factory nav screen display obd2 readouts. Any info?
