The guys at RPMrollbar recommended only the 6 point for me. 4 or 5 point is just not enough. Talked with them today. I would be certified for a 9.99 at NHRA drag strips. Anything higher and it is a full cage.
|
Here lies the problem. If my car is faster than a 9.99 at a NHRA track I will be kicked off even with the 6 point. I will need an 8 point to be certified to go faster. Which means a full cage. Justin's car ran a 9.91.

Well, I guess you only need to run it once, right?
|
If you want to keep it dual purpose then RPM is the way to go and if all racecar then full cage is the only way to go!

From thier website. NASA, NHRA, & SCCA rules followed extensively as guidelines, but we do not guarantee certifications in any way. |
Nothing, Lance makes an excellent roll bar! I think he told me that he can make his a 6 point as well. I just found out that RPM 6 point system will not work with my Sparco front seat. RPM 6 point is meant to meet oem specs.

This has put a damper on this subject for me. It is just about impossible to have a dual purpose car. Street car or Race car. Take your pick. You can't do both correctly.

The more you move the mark to the right. The less it is to the left. What compromises you want to make. |
I may do a 4 point with an SCCA crossbar. Who knows. Aggravated with it at the moment. I may say the heck with it and run nothing.

Should include that in your website. If it's there. I didn't see it. |

i was thinkin of just getting the harness bar but now i wonder if i should get the cage
my Z is supposed to be a weekend car that i'm slowly getting track ready, but because my IS300 has been down for so long (thanks SERIAL-NINE for your fuckup) i've been dailying the Z for months and its held up like a champ even with a ton of suspension work and 20's |

In and out of the car, zero affect. Drive ability, zero affect. We truly market our cage as we feel the Z should just come with it in it from the factory |
