Anybody Install 2015+ NISMO Headlights yet?

Has anybody installed the new 2015+ NISMO headlights on their earlier model-year Z yet? I've seen a couple different vendors selling them on here, but haven't actually seen any pictures of installs. I assume they are plug-n-play, but I don't know for sure.

I know, I know: if I want painted headlight housings, I can just have my own painted for a lot cheaper. I'm just trying to keep my options open.

I have seen a few installs already and believe they are plug and play.

Swapping lights is a lot easier upgrade than the work involved in painting the housings, so it is certainly a good option for anyone wanting a color change without the halos.

If all you want is black housings, then new headlights is the way to go. Only open them up if you're planning to additional work.

Let me know if you decide to sell your stock headlights. :P

A pair of good condition headlights go between $600 and $800 here. Sometimes more if the supply is low.

my fit has factory black housing lights...

Nice but mine are brand new and protected with Xpel wrap. This might be worth into looking into... Maybe. 700 just for black is ridiculous

Do you have any pics of them installed?

I must come from a different walk of life than you guys. I would much rather open up my own lights and paint them than shell out $800 haha.

For that price I could buy multiple running cars. (I did get a saturn DD for $200)

BamBamZ 03-23-2015 11:31 AM

Where are you guys finding them for $800? Everywhere I looked they go for $800 each... The dealership changed 1 headlight on my Z and "restored" the other. The lens may be clear but it has it's rock chips and fading on the inside so it's not a perfect match :(

^Yes the cheapest new set of 2015 nismo headlight I found was $1450/pair. The $800 might be the price for a set of used headlights but I've yet to see anyone selling used 2015 nismo headlights.

I think the $800 was for a set of regular used ones. Or maybe he's including the sale of his stock lights?
