Dead HID

Couldnt find a DIY on this and Im not entirely sure of the terminology myself so here goes My headlight isnt working. The main light, the one in the projector.

Default Dead HID

Couldnt find a DIY on this and Im not entirely sure of the terminology myself so here goes

My headlight isnt working. The main light, the one in the projector. Is this a bad ballast or a bad bulb or what? Do they even have bulbs? Im looking at pics of them online and I just see the ballast thing. Im new to this so any insight would be helpful

swap bulbs left to right. if the dead light works on the opposite side works, then your ballast is dead

Ok next question.
Does anyone know how to remove the ignitor completely? I keep getting stuck because the clip at the opposite end is too big to come through the opening

I believe the igniter (part that connects to the back of the bulb) rotates then pull off... the clip will go inside and behind opening.
