Installing mirrortap power source, now gauge needles don't light up. Blown fuse?

Have all.

I was *trying* to install the mirrortap power source for my radar detector. I managed to get the 12 volt pin in without too much trouble but could not manage to get the black ground in.

As I was trying to get it in, I heard an acute click or snap that sounded like electricity. I started looking around and noticed my needles now don't like up. I also don't get any beeps when locking the car from the door on the outside or when I first turn the car on into accessory mode.

Please tell me this is just some blown fuse and is easy to fix. I hope I didn't royally screw something up.

Thanks a lot for your input.

Look for a blown fuse.

I would start with the fuse panel on the driver side kick panel.

This definitely sounds like a fuse issue though? Has this happened to anyone else?

That's why you should always disconnect the battery before any elec work.

Easy fix replace the fuse...do not work on anything electrical without disconnecting the power source first.

Definitely blown fuse you will find in the driver's side kick panel. Can't remember for sure, but I recall it's the 3rd or 4th from the bottom on the left.
