Default PW 370z Bumper Color Very off

I have an 09 370z, I love the car so far, but my Z almost looks like it is two different color whites... and three if you include the front bumper because its not as bad as the rear but still no where near the same color as the other parts of the car...

the PW is very nice, but my rear bumper is so much more yellow tinted than my mud flap or fender or trunk, same with front bumper but not as bad. But both are definatly noticeable.. I know its not always exact but mine is pretty bad, if a paint shop gave me my car like this I would demand a re spray ... I didnt really inspect the car as much as i should of i guess and it disgusts me that I didnt notice this .

here are the pictures with the lowsy iphone camera... I will remove these with better ones with my digital camera tomorrow.

**** UPDATE - WENT TO THE DEALER SHIP SHORTLY AFTER POSTING THIS, THEY AGREED 100% THAT IT WAS NOT SATISFACTORY, TOOK PICTURES AND CONTACTED NISSAN AND GAVE ME AN APPROVAL FOR REAR BUMPER TO BE SPRAYED (THE ONLY THING I PUSHED FOR AT THAT TIME) .. AND AS PROMISED NISSAN RE PAINTED MY REAR BUMPER AT THEIR IN HOUSE BODY SHOP AND CAME OUT MINT

#2 NISSAN HAS NOW AGREED TO SPRAY MY FRONT BUMPER AS WELL, I WENT IN APPROX 1 MONTH AFTER I GOT THE REAR BUMPER DONE, INQUIRED ABOUT THE FRONT BEING OFF AS WELL, AND WITH ZERO HASSLE MY SERVICE MANAGER SNAPPED PICS, SENT THEM TO NISSAN AND IT WAS APPROVED, HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AT PERFORMANCE AUTO BODY IN SMITHTOWN, NY NOVEMBER 30TH, AS YOU CAN SEE THEY MATCHED THE REAR WAY BETTER THAN OEM, AND IM SURE THE FRONT WILL COME OUT THE SAME, I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER ****

The paint quality on the 370z seems very good but in my case, my front and rear bumper color was way off. What bothers me is that a few people had to stamp this car as good to go, when it had obvious blemishes.

Before:

After:

clear is as strong as factory in the rear, and the paint matches 99%. I have zero issues with this outcome and it was repainted.

The Rear came out perfect and I am now going to inquire about getting them to cover the front bumper re spray as well.. I deserve it IMO as a brand new car should match to a very reasonaly extent.

Here are the front bumper befores....

I picked my car up on a Sunday, It was painted on day 17 of me owning the car which was this past Tuesday. Im going to go in this Monday about the front bumper because with the rear now repaired, I am so much more satisfied. But now I keep looking at the front bumpers discoloration and it bothers me even more... Most people don't notice it, but a few definatly do.

That's because all the plastic parts are painted at another location and at a different time than the body. They all come together at the assembly point. Sometimes the match is good, sometimes not.

Probably worth a shot to take it back and see if they'll do something about it. No guarantees though, I doubt it'd be considered a "defect". Correct me if I'm wrong though.

This is the exact reason why I've been having a hard time choosing between the magnetic black or the pearl white.

I love the Nismo in black, but don't want to have to worry about swirls, everything showing, etc. Yet I'm apprehensive to get a pearl white one, specifically because of this issue.

Try talking to the dealer and seeing what they have to offer, good luck.

Even with the bad pics, that's a pretty dramatic difference....Maybe the car was Port damaged and repainted....Stuff like this happens all the time. I'd go back and chat with the dealer..

Under certain lighting conditions the bumper and the body are not exactly color matched. I’ve seen the same on the silver. I’m happy with my PW.

the lighting definatly has something to do with it ... because in the bright of day it def does not look nearly as dramatic as those pictures... and the darkness of the photos may actually make it look worse, because the rear bumper is def worse than the front bumper and in these pictures the front almost looks worse

Sometimes they will switch the bumpers with another PW if they have that car there. Thats if you really complain. Like roll on the ground yelling.

Yeah im a lil late but you should def need to go to the dealer and complain. they had this problem on the GTRs ask Sharif at forged performance... he had the same problem himself with his white GTR. The Dealer will replace your bumpers for you if your good you might be able to get them to get you the nismo bumpers you may have to offer to pay the difference but that is a price I would sure as heck pay!!!

GL PW Brethren!

hmm didn't even think of that, its a relatively easy task to swap bumpers, there are several PW's there.

I am going to go in there tomorrow around dusk.. The rear spoiler that was included in my deal should be in soon so hopefully when they install the spoiler they can swap my bumpers... the rear is def off more than I would tolerate..

Thanks for the info though.. Did Sharif end up getting new bumpers ?
