Bolt In Cage
Hey Guys and Gals,
I am in talks with the shop that built Wiggins roll cage to make me a Bolt in NASA legal cage. This would also meet all SCCA standards as well. I would like to thank Wiggins for being a crucial part in making this possible! He is a great guy and has allowed the shop to use his cage for the basis of the build. THANKS BROTHER! If he doesn't mind I will post up some pics of his to give people a visual of what we are working with. http://www.the370z.com/members/wiggi...eet-style.jpeg http://www.the370z.com/members/wiggi...eet-style.html http://www.the370z.com/members/wiggi...eet-style.jpeg http://www.the370z.com/members/wiggi...hotography.jpg To be NASA Legal we will be installing "Bolt In" Door Bars as well. All mounting plates will be welded and bolted in the floor and the rear shock towers. all piping will be 1.75" diameter as well. I will let people know the pricing but from what I have gathered so far this will be fairly affordable! THANKS AGAIN WIGGINS! p.s. They will be looking at what will have to be done to make an adapter for the top secret strut tower brace! |
Very cool!

Happy to help in any way I can. I've been talking to the shop about reproducing mine for awhile and with spring quickly approaching now is the perfect time. Right now its a 4 point cage, but im looking into making it a 6 point. If anyone is interested in further details send Bullitt or myself a message.

Very cool bullitt. Keep us posted on the progress.
Also it was great that Wiggins could help out. Be sure to rep the man for being cool (and having a sick car!) |
I'd want one...
|
Wiggins and I are looking to get these in a reproduce able package. I am looking to have them in both my cars... And I drive on the Street.
In street mode there wont be door bars but on the track they will bolt right in. |

terribleone would you be interested in a 4 or 6 point?
|
Good stuff! What is install cost usually for these?
|
I'm in if they build it! I would like to see the 6 point before I say if I want a 4 or 6,most likely the 6 point.

The plates will be 3/16" thick according to the NASA standards. and the rear towers if bolted will have to be done so in a sandwich manner and I think you have to use grade 5 (5/16 sized) bolts if I remember correctly. The floor plates I believe can be just welded in (1 behind each seat and 1 in each floorboard)... |
I'd be very interested in a 4 point to run a harness. 6 point is a bit too hard core for me at the moment. Also interested in the price.

A diagonal bar is needed to be legal in SCCA or NASA for club racing.
|
It will have a Diagonal bar
|
6 point with the front bolted in. I'm in. I want to be able to unbolt the front bars for the street.
