We are overlooking one area of weight saving for the 370Z: those Akebono brakes.
Since alot of G35 guys ended up upgrading their brakes to the Akebono brakes from the G37, which are exactly the same as the Z34 brakes, they all had a first hand experience at how heavy those rotors really are. A 2-piece aftermarket rotor would definitely help. Especially since that's all unsprung weight, which has more of an impact on acceleration than other areas of weight. |

I compiled a list of some of the common Volk wheel weight options for the 350Z and G35. Most of these sizes will fit perfectly on the 370Z Feel free to add to the list to compare to the stock weights. Our weights are official per Rays Japan.

Ok, took the spare, tools, and sub out of the back of the 370Z to weigh it last night. The pictures are terrible, sorry.
Bose Sub = 8 lbs. Tools & Mats = 7 lbs. Spare = 35 lbs. Total = 50 lbs. Also, side note. Probably one of the coolest looking spares I have seen, painted black and made by Enkei.

That's a heavy spare, but a light sub woofer! I'll be leaving both in. I'm some-what surprised they didn't use the space-saver spare like they did in my 300zx.

Cool for the dragstrip, but it will mess with your handling balance on a road course. For anyone planning on setting their car up for the road course, just make sure you remember to take the spare and tools out of the back BEFORE you corner balance .

I use to watch people with F-bods and other muscle cars drag with spares up front. You already have one, and could pick the other up cheap. You werent allowed to do it, so they must not have put them on till after the inspections.
