I plan on using my car for daily driving, would odyssey pc680 be a good battery if I don't plan on going to the track, and how long will it last? And my second question is wouldn't changing to lighter lug nuts help lose some rotational weight & be good for a DD?

The PC680 works fine for a DD. I DD my 370Z as well and have had no problems with it. As for the lug nuts, 99% of aftermarket lugs will not work with the stock wheels. My honest opinion though, both of those mods will not be noticeable when daily driving as far as performance gains from weight savings go.

Why will aftermarket lugs not work? I figured replacing the battery, changing exhaust, removing spare tire + tools, changing to lighter/slotted rotors + lighter tires, plus I figured what ever little things I can remove would help my 370Z.

The stock rims and lugs are designed differently than aftermarket lugs and rims. The big flat washer type area on the stock lugs is what is doing all of the work holding the rim on. When you take that away by using an aftermarket lug, the amount of rim that the lugs are actually holding onto is too thin. Kinda hard to explain, but here is what happens...

Aftermarket rims have much more material between the acorn part of the lug and the hub.

for stock wheels you must use the washer style like these wheel locks...

This is the nicest universal mount for the PC680 I have come across...

Password:JDM Billet Aluminum Universal Battery Mount

You can just screw this into your stock battery tray very easily. I have mine mounted the exact same way.

Thanks for the link, and your right that is a nice looking battery mount, if I buy that would it fit in the stock location and be able to put the battery cover back on? How long would the 680 battery last, is it weaker cus it's smaller?

Yeah it will actually sit a bit lower than the stock battery. I am not too sure on the life expectancy to be honest. I had one in my old 350Z for a few years and have had this one in my 370Z for probably around 7 months or so and its still as good as the day I put it in.

I'm sure this has already been found but I found this link for slotted Rotora front/rear brake rotors: Rotora Front Slotted Brake Rotors Nissan 370Z - I just don't know how much they weigh. I assume they have to weigh less then the stock rotors.

I have the PC680 in a DD as well, and with an underdriven alternator to boot, and no problems with regular stuff. I have killed the charge on it twice, but that was from working on it (with the key turned "ON", engine off, and messing with the window buttons repeatedly while working on some door stuff in the garage). So be sure to have a charger or jump ready if you plan to work on the car like that, it drains quick when you run heavy accessories like the windows without the engine running.

Hey looks great, but I was just wondering do you guys know what is the best all around battery as in light weight, performance, and daily driving. The Odyssey 680 just doesn't seem good enough for daily driving...
