No sir, but I can.

Mike is the man. Now taking requests??

This one is a little off the wall but can you get the volume of windshield washer fluid? I know some BMW guys that dump an easy 10-12 pounds by emptying the washer fluid before they track. (BMW's have large washer reservoirs).

I have no idea how to measure that. If its something that I can un-bolt and put on a scale, I'm good too go. :) Maybe its in the owner's manual...

Chupacabra 01-21-2009 02:26 PM

or just unbolt it, take general x,y,z dimensions, and the rest is just a matter of knowing the density of the washer fluid and its a done deal.

M.Bonanni 01-21-2009 02:35 PM

Sorry guys, just went and looked and it seems like the washer fluid bottle will be a royal PITA to get to and the capacity isn't listed in the owner's manual. Maybe if I get REALLY bored one day I will pull it out, but I am not committing myself to that one.

RCZ 01-21-2009 04:22 PM

haha, no worries, theres a slightly simpler way...empty it...see how much water goes into it till its full...done. You guys are silly. haha

^What he said.

I also checked the owner's manual, didn't find it.

Also, if you end up changing the brakes, can we get a weight on the rotors and calipers?

Yes. I will weigh the calipers/rotors when I do my brake fluid & pads before my baseline road course test coming up :).

Any significant weight to be saved by going to an aftermarket radiator? I know you track rats will save lbs anywhere thats feasible. Koyo or Misimoto et al make some sweet ultra light weight radiators for the 350z....Wonder what the stock radiator weights:pedobear: hint hint:tup:

Stock radiators are rediculous light, or at least they were for the 350Z. No I will not take the stock radiator out unless I have an aftermarket one to put in its place. :) I am working on that though so hopefully soon... :)

On the cover page, i noticed the weight of the stock sport tires are as follows:

Front Stock Bridgestone RE050A (245/40/19): 29lbs (13.15kg)
Rear Stock Bridgestone RE050A (275/35/19): 33lbs (14.97kg)

According to Tirerack (reliable?) they are

Front Stock Bridgestone RE050A (245/40/19): 30lbs
Rear Stock Bridgestone RE050A (275/35/19): 30lbs

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...3D735YR9RE050A

Not a huge differnce, just currious which one is correct.

Also, found these tires on the same site, seem to be very nice and save weight to boot.

Front Pilot Sport PS2 (245/40/19): 26lbs
Rear Pilot Sport PS2 (275/35/19): 27lbs

Tire Specs for Michelin Pilot Sport PS2

Other's thoughts?

RCZ 01-21-2009 09:44 PM

^^

Someone mentioned that...but on Bridgestone's site it says the weight I put up so I figured I'd go with the manufacturer.

Im going to take as much weight out of the front as possible to get closer to 50/50 :) Radiator, bumper, hood, battery. Might get a lighter battery and send it to the trunk.

Mike as soon as you have KW V3's available for it, hold me a set please.
