The Absorber - an endorsement
 

So I was sick of the fine fibers, etc that get left after using fabric (even microfiber) to dry the Z after washing. My brother details cars on the side, and said to try The Absorber, which is what they use to dry cars. I have to say, it was a great feeling drying the car and seeing No streaks, No fibers, No lint... just the clean dry paint!

The Absorber works really good but with a dark car (like mine) the possibility of swirls is very high. Be sure the absorber is perfectly clean before running it over your paint. Good luck!

I switched to a perfectly dedicated (for the car) leaf blower so I do not need to touch the paint after washing.

blot dry is one of the keys to no swirls. :p

if you're going to drag the towel, use a lube like spray wax.
(i use Prima Hydro on my dd's).

I haven't ordered my Zaino yet, so I use one of these ATM. The blot method is the right one. I use this for the bulk of the drying, then a MF towel VERY lightly dragged across to get the last little bit up.

And yes, blot, don't wipe. Once you've blotted it dry, wax as usual.

Eh, waffle weaves are great to finish drying up the little water drops around the car that the Absorber missed imo.

I use waffles from Prima, but Griot's got a nice one too. :)

Absorber is something my next door neighbor uses who has no idea how to detail a car and his car shows (the swirls). :p

I use this every time for at least 5 years now. good stuff

Any bad experiences with these? After I remove 90% of the water I blot dry the rest. I keep my car waxed with Meguiar's NXT2.

yah anything that you rub over the paint is not good... especially those blades because grit can get dragged over your paint.

if it's your dd who cares, but if it's a hobby car just dont drag
anything over your paint. :) well, unless it's ample QD and a
soft MF detailing towel.
