front lip replacement question
The rubber black front lip on my 2011 Sport/Touring is pretty beat up from 4 years of abuse on the curbs when parking. On the left side it's starting to come out of the holes and detach. I went to my local dealer and he doesn't know how this is attached, bolts, screws, etc. Can anyone tell me the difficulty of replacing this and the cost and possible better source? My dealer is quoting $250 just for the part.

That lip can be found online for $100, and they're held in by a few rivets if my memory is good. You do not need a dealer to remove and install a new one. I yanked mine off and tossed it in the trash.
Edit: apparently I'm showing early signs of senile. It's held on by some screws. I do remember mine wasn't on very tight because I was able to yank it off in a parking lot. http://www.370zcoupe.com/ACCS/1TK16.PDF Last edited by Zbrah; 01-31-2015 at 09:55 PM. |

WOW, great information! You were much more helpful than the dealership. The cheapest I've found so far was $120 plus shipping but that's much cheaper than the $250 the dealership is quoting me. Thanks for the information.

if you dont have a rivet tool, you can buy screws, washer, nuts at acehardware and bolt it up. you will need a drill to drill through the existing rivets to remove them. it's not hard to do. i suggest you do at WTB in your region. chances are there's someone with a decent one they'd let go for cheap. According to the .pdf linked above it's not held on by rivets. It appears the tie wraps have broken on the driver side where it goes through the two holes. The problem is it appears I will need to remove the front bumper to install new tie wraps. I need to look at this closer and see if I have any other options before proceeding. If I could easily just replace the tie wraps then I would keep the existing front lip.
