Use 3M, lots of it and you should be fine. Here's how to do it.

I did 3M on my last car and it held up 20K+ miles before I got rid of the car. I didn't want to drill at the time because I was too much of a wuss to do it (still am), but it was actually very tough to removed when I parted it out, that stuff works really well.
