Inspired and designed from endurance and GT racing in Japan, HKS developed its Hi-Power Exhaust system for both turbocharged and naturally aspirated applications. HKS has incorporated this new race inspired offset muffler and piping design into many street applications, which offers a greater flow and higher-PRM power gains due to the less restrictive design. This is achieved by eliminating unnecessary bends for the straightest exhaust path.

For turbocharged applications, the large and smooth exhaust flow allows greater exhaust velocity for better mid-range boost response and high-RPM power. Naturally aspirated vehicles also benefit from greater exhaust flow capacity as engine tuning levels increase. Certain applications are available in a Silent Hi-Power version which has an inner silencer built into the muffler. Like Drager Exhaust systems, Hi-Power Exhaust systems are made from SUS304 stainless steel muffler and tip assemblies. Depending on the application, Hi-Power muffler tips are 96mm, 115mm and 120mm in diameter, piping diameter ranges from 55mm to 95mm. Special Edition HKS Carbon Titanium Hi-Power Exhaust systems are exclusively available for certain popular applications. These exclusive versions of the Hi-Power Exhaust consist of a carbon fiber wrapped muffler shell, titanium tip, and polished SUS304 stainless steel piping.

Titanium tips are burnt tips :) They are indeed the sex.
I'm waiting for a local customer to pick up one of these so we can get some vids. Although there may be some out there..
Not sure on clearance, but our old 350Z was slammed on KW V3 coilovers, about a 1.6" drop in teh rear with this exhaust on it, never rubbed/scraped, even on my home driveway.. which often scrapes my 335i front HR Lip.

I have an AE Exhaust on my 335i, which is also true dual, paid wholesale for it of course, but still over $1100 :(

HKS TD exhausts are one of the most sought after and priciest exhaust systems in the Z market though. The sound is also unbeatable. A lot of R&D has gone into the HKS exhaust, which is why it took so long to become released.. but it's worth the wait.

How does it compare to the GReddy Ti-C?

Good question!

Sound wise, I have not heard it in person on a 370Z, but I have on our old 350Z..
My preference was almost split, but I had to go with the HKS system.
Looks/Style.. the HKS looked "cooler" I guess is the word. The mufflers are angled under the car, but the tips are straight. The Ti-Tips are almost identical..

Now, the main difference, I'd say between the two are the design. The Turbo Ti-C is made using 70mm piping, opposed to HKS' 60mm piping.
This is where the sound difference is noted (aside from a different muffler/design).

The Turbo Ti-C is not necessarily for those who go turbo, nor is the HKS not a good setup for those looking to go FI either.

What it really boils down to in the end is the price you're willing to pay for the sound and performance you'll receive.

My preference.. the HKS, but only by a small margin. I remember when GReddy first introduced their Ti-C lineup.. I fell in love. At the time, we sold out of ALL Ti-C's we had in stock from Celicas and Mazdaspeed 3s to the 350Z exhausts.
