Kyle(Houston) 06-10-2009 11:38 AM

Not sure what the gains are at this point. These are hot off the press so no one has had a chance to dyno one yet that I know of.

Kyle, these look good/interesting, without the need to do any extra work like the Stillen (which is not much, but less is better). Would you be willing to have a local car in Houston test these for you to get some results? Pick them up and do a dyno run, then install them and do another to see the performance gains?

Send me a PM, have some other questions.

What extra work are you referring to? The cutting?

Yep, it is not much, and easy to do, but extra is extra. I would love to see a nice 10+ intake that competes against the stillen without having to go to the front and cut, but I think Stillen has it right that you need to grab the air before everything.

I see that it says something about the tubes soft mounted to the heatshields, but I don't see any heatshields in that picture. Have you opened a box to see what these look like in person? Does it include some kind of heatshield?

I have sent a few out without opening the boxes :icon18:

I have another order of them coming in next week. I will open the box and let you know :bowrofl:

They do have heat shields and the filters are blackish grey instead of the white in the picture I have.

Does anyone know gains for this intake yet?

tommyguns 06-16-2009 06:10 PM

Just wanted to throw my 2cents worth in here. I received mine today and they look great. Heres the thing, if you want the max gain in hp it looks like the stillen's are the way to go (although im still not sold on some of the dyno results). The reason to purchase any other is for the ease of install and also to maintain, plus the look and sound change. These were purchased solely for the look and sound, whatever hp gain there could be is just a bonus. I didn't want chrome like the "T"'s have and the JWT still use the stock plastic elbow. So these looked like the best way to go. So if your concerned with hp gains you know what to do, if not then go with what nissan would choose, NISMO!:happydance:

Oh one last thing, the Nismo got around +10 on the 350Z

One_Quick_Z 06-16-2009 06:16 PM

^^^ It got around 6hp at the most and thats not whp trust me I had one on my 06 Z and all it really did was increase throttle response
