There is a sensor plug on the intake, and basically the ECU will automatically compensate for the change in the air fuel ratio by adding more fuel for the increase in air. Thanks for the PM's guys keep them coming! All PM's replied.

Cons:
Stickers on Intakes: The stickers on the intake did not want to stay on when heated up, so I took them off with a little goo gone. (Not a real issue for me because I’m not much a of badge guy, I like the stealth look).
Also the sticker that goes on the heat shield did not stick either, again not a big deal for me.
Pros:
Sound: The sound coming out of the engine now is just intoxicating, can't keep my foot out of the gas now. At WOT the engine has a very nice throaty growl.
Performance: I have had them on for 5 days now and I drive my car daily so the power has definitely gotten better. I have not dyno tested the intake but the car is more responsive and seems to pull harder.
Looks: The chrome piping is very nice, quality is great and I love the AFE pro dry filters. No oil no mess and they flow just as good as the oil style filters.

thank you for the pictures ^^^. I really like mine on my G37.

TAKEDA explained as to why they decided to make a small sheild instead of the full heat shield.

The heat generated by the radiator hose next to the intake on the passenger side was where the heat soak was coming from when they were testing and doing dyno runs. Only the passenger side was getting heat soak so they decided to make a small shield to minimize the heat and sure enough, after that cover they saw better gains while doing the dyno

I also did some of my own testing. I have the magden computer on my car and i was testing the AIR INTAKE TEMPS while driving to san diego. The air intake was typically 20 deg hotter than outside temp just like the stock air box on cruising speed. Once i stepped on the throttle, the air intake dropped 10 deg within seconds.

Here's some pictures of the TAKEDA installed on my G

Thanks your definetly going to love the intake. Just a heads up when I disconnected my battery and reconnected it the automatic roll down feature on the windows got disabled. If your windows dont roll up automatically when you shut your door after reconnecting the battery perform the following steps (I almost took my car in thinking I blew a senors or something).

If the windows do not close automatically
If the power window automatic function (closing
only) does not operate properly, perform the
following procedure to initialize the power
window system.
1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Close the door.
3. Open the window completely by operating
the power window switch.
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to
close the window, and then hold the switch
more than 3 seconds after the window is
closed completely.
5. Release the power window switch. Operate
the window by the automatic function to
confirm the initialization is complete.
6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other
windows.
