Epic isn't cheap.

So here's the part we all wanted to see but don't really want to see. With these prices, I'm not even barely making anything...but not every project is about the money. If you guys are willing to organize and move forward, then I'll do the work. Here are the hard numbers.

2 sets @ $700 each
4 sets @ $400 each
8 sets @ $320 each
12 sets @ $250 each

Notice the power of the group buy here. Just getting the 2 sets made for Alstann and Wheee is just plain ridiculous...in fact I don't even consider it slightly reasonable until we get into the 12+ range. My problem is I can't justify the capital it would take for me to spend in order to put 12 sets of tips on the shelf when no more than two people have really shown serious commitment.

So now that this just got real...who's in?

I triple-dog-dare Alstann, Wheee!, and 10 more of you HKS owners.

I've done my part and I've done it for free. Where is everyone else?

Fringe, if you don't mind, I am gonna look into crossposting this into the main Intake/Exhaust forum, as well as posting it into G37 forums, and possibly 350z forums. Are 350z HKS exhausts the same type of rear section? Tip diameter wise and whatnot? At least g37 guys can use it, that's for sure.

I would die if I ever tried paying $700 for tips, haha.

I do not mind at all Alstann, in fact it is most likely necessary. I expect that these tips wil fit on the 350z HKS exhausts, but we need a 350z owner to verify that.

I couldn't in all seriousness ever ask someone to pay $700 for two tips, lol...unless they had gold plated outers, LOL.

I have also posted in general, but you can do whatever you feel you need to do find 10 friends. At least get as close as we can, as I may be able to chip in on this if we don't quite get 10 more. Time will tell.

You could, but you don't want to know how much a one-off set of Ti tips will cost.

Actually, I'll tell you anyway. You would have to do a group buy because, for example, I had this quoted for a set of 4 tips for the GTRs (in FULL TITANIUM), and that comes out to 5k. Seriously ridiculous. A set like that would be unique in the world though. (Like my Jeepra.

) You could just get a Ti outer though. That was around 1.2k iirc (again, for the GTR), and still pretty ridic.

Update:

Components for 12 sets have been ordered. I am told I will see them in approximately 5 to 6 weeks. When you see my name in blue an announcement will be made and they will be available then. Limited qty of 11 sets, 2 are spoken for. Price remains as mentioned above for 12 sets. No pre-sales.

Or maybe a HIGH-GLOSS black with a red inside to match the calipers? Ooohhhh the possibilities.
