Houston, we have a problem. Sorry for the delay, but it's a process. There appears to have been some sort of chemical reaction during the baking of the powdercoat and the tips went from the gunmetal left to the olive drab gold on the right. If you have an Army themed z then they might be perfect...however for econ's black...not so much. I'll get it sorted out, but DAMN IT!

The manufacturers I've contacted are taking their sweet time responding...so if anyone has the Akropovic exhaust and can take an accurate measurement WITH DIGITAL CALIPERS we should be in business. The Invidia Geminis are handled. What I want to see is a 60mm tube, like the Invidias. This is essentially a 2-3/8" tube, which coincidentally is the stock outlet tube size on the Nissan GTR-35 as well. I'm redesigning for the 60mm tube, so any and all aftermarket systems that utilize that outlet pipe size will automatically fit the version 2 tips. In case it wasn't clear, the version 1 (pictured above) will be able to be modified to slip on and clamp to a 2.5" (63.5mm) tube with little effort. I suspect this will cover just about everything except those HKS setups, which we are working on as well.

Ok, I've confirmed the Akropovic uses 60mm pipes all throughout. Thanks.

I've decided to test a "blued" set. Yep, like the firearms get. Ha. I've got your "gunmetal"...and I mean the real McCoy.

I have a clamp on version for the 2.5" (63.5mm) exhausts as well as a clamp on version for the 2.375" (60mm) designed.
I need as many of you to help as is comfortable, so I can get an idea of which version specifically will best meet demand.

If you like these and wanted a set now, would you need the:

1) Weld on version that slips onto 2.5" (63.5mm) tubing
2) Clamp-on version that fits onto 2.5" (63.5mm) tubing
3) Clamp-on version that fits onto 2.375" (60mm) tubing

If you'd rather PM me than post, please feel free. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Is a titanium tipped version possible? If so could it be modified to fit an FI exhaust?

I would call Tony and see about having a exhaust made without tips on them before ordering these...

Not at this time. I'm looking into it, but the process of of laser cutting Ti is slow and expensive, and so is sourcing 4.5" O.D. thinwall Ti tubing. You may only ever have Ti options with conventional tube tip or rolled tip designs you already see unless some breakthrough is made. :/

tips came in, and i must say, quality and welding is superb.

Unfortunately I am selling my car, so I will not be putting these on my car, however they will be put on a Z once the weather on the northeast clears up a little bit.

I know Econ is installing a weld on set, but I will be building several sets of the bolt-on tips for the 60mm exhaust systems. Quantity is limited, and anyone that wants to pre-order in the next few weeks is more than welcome. Thanks for your patience and your kind and encouraging words. Website is not up yet, but will be SOOOON. Good things come to those who wait.

Hell if someone's going to go through that kind of trouble, make us a variable geometry intake system triggered by RPM and throttle position

There's been a change in plans, and the tips are being redesigned. The new GTR tips are done and pictured below, and you can expect the new Z tips to have a similar "semi-open" configuration as well as bolting onto 60mm exhaust pipe.

I had a little fun with the 3d model. Don't hold it against me.
