Plastidip the inside of your HKS Exhaust exit! Then slide the Fringe tip over that....

Glad to see you're getting tips too AK!

Awesome AK! Glad to see your update. :)

I expect the inside of the tubes to always turn carbon black over time. If it doesn't, I should think that a flat black high heat grill paint would be the best option. The second an smaller picture you showed is not phantom black. That tip was part of a test fit set that was never fitted and are fully welded (non-modular) and entirely flat black.

For those of you following this, I am conducting several loose experiments over the next couple of weeks in an effort to nail down an effective process for creating sexy burnt stainless tips. You may follow it here:

Well Good News! The tips have cleared customs in Mississauga as of today, so they should be here in another week.... :shakes head:

Holy crap man. Well hurry up and wait already. :) I am flattered you are so excited, hahaha.

I wish you had stuck with this design:

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g9...ypeset0113.jpg

Or the shorter one you had on the first page.
If that can be done, PM me! I figure it should be even cheaper/easier because it doesn't need as much cutting and whatnot

Because of the inside fittings, these tips would not work. You couldn't get a wrench on to tighten the bolts. You could only rock that look on a weld on tip.

Exactly what I plan to do

Chad, I've gotta drive back to CA soon, and I'll pass through Austin if I can see the tips I mentioned in person. Is that something we can set up?
