RJM GTR Intake Conversion

In the effort for more power we here at RJ MFG have developed the most efficient and proven power making GTR Manifold conversion. This conversion allows the user to bolt up a 2008+ OEM Nissan GTR manifold, Greddy Intake Manifold, AMS Carbon Fiber Manifold and etc... There is only one aftermarket manifold not currently supported and that is the Boost Logic Manifold (The Boost logic design does not line up to factory locations). The longer Runners and larger cross section of the GTR conversion manifold is a massive improvement over the OEM design. Opening up the opportunity for forced induction clients to make more power in the mid range and low end. This conversion also allows users to run more Boost than the factory manifold can handle (30+ psi).

Any dyno sheets showing real world gains ?

Chuck33079 06-11-2016 12:24 PM

Can you still run the strut brace with a GTR manifold?

RJ MFG 06-11-2016 12:25 PM

Jay,

this is from my build swapping From the prototype GTM to the RJM and a retune:

Torque:
https://scontent-mia1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...19005440_o.jpg

HP:
https://scontent-mia1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...77622934_o.jpg

Same dyno (Dyno Dynamics 16% observable loss from DynoJet) and same weather... We were able to remove any and all restrictions from the intake side allowing us to make way more mid range TQ and HP!!!

Chuck,

At this point and time no you can not. However, we are developing a few prototype replacements. In real world experience I have run this for 2 years with no front strut brace and have not noticed any loss in rigidity.

RJ MFG 06-11-2016 12:29 PM

We also have over 12 units on customer cars at this point in time. Thus far we have only heard positive reviews on gains. This is about a 2 hour install from start to finish.

RJ MFG 06-13-2016 02:00 PM

Have a TT Kit? Want to turn up the boost? Get our GTR conversion manifold! Dont have a built motor we also can build you a motor too!

Spec Jay 06-14-2016 12:33 PM

What about for guys that have the CJM s1 return (doesn't include rails) are we still able to use it?

RJ MFG 06-14-2016 02:28 PM

Yes you can

Chuck33079 06-14-2016 02:29 PM

Do you have anyone with a more normal turbo setup testing this? The results above are awesome, but a little hard to relate to given the level of modification of the test car.

Yes we have seen 50whp -100whp increases due to this mod on stock motors from HR to VHR with a tune. All cars have seen decreased spool time and depending on the turbo setup they have seen various gains in their mid-range and top end. Each turbo setup will have different gains but they have all had consistent gains everywhere in the powerband. The company test car saw 50whp with a minor tune. That is a 350z HR with a single turbo and 9 psi of boost.

I will see if I can get some dyno charts from customers to help you guys visualize. The 4.5L is definitely showing an exaggerated affect this plenum has against the competition. Rest assured its one of the best bang for your buck mods on a turbo or even SC car.

You think? :rofl2: He gained another VQ37 worth of power. Was that still with the GTM setup or the FI?

RJ MFG 06-14-2016 03:29 PM

I will have to ask.

RJ MFG 06-23-2016 11:15 AM

Update:

We have 4 confirmed compatible GTR uppers: OEM, Greddy, and AMS (version 1 and 2)

Chemicool 06-24-2016 10:46 AM

Is this lower the same height as the OEM GTR lower? The runners the same length? Any pic of this conversion in a 370z? Any plans to offer versions with polished internal runners. All 370z OEM manifold connections retained on GTR upper manifold?

RJ MFG 06-24-2016 03:16 PM

Hey Chemicool,

The runners are longer and larger than the OEM 370z which will mean more TQ and low - mid range power.

Intake runners are also machined with a slight rough texture. We did not find any significant gains in testing by fully polishing the runners. However, if you would like polished runners it is optional.

Would we need new charge pipes since the throttle bodies aren't in the same place as the OEM manifold?

That is correct! For those with Fast intentions kits we already have new charge pipes available. You can get those from us or directly from Fast intentions.

RJ MFG 06-27-2016 03:01 PM

4th of July around the corner! get your intake conversion today!

Chemicool 06-27-2016 07:08 PM

So stock throttle bodies are ok or would I need GTR throttle bodies? Or would GTR throttle bodies be preferable anyway? I assume they're larger?

Stock throttle bodies are just fine! but if your shooting for more throttle response and bigger throttle bodies then we recommend using the EPS true 70mm throttle body kits. We can even put it in a package for you.

We have 350z and a 370z customers testing but at this point we havent received their official numbers. Both are extremely happy with the outcome. We wont post numbers until we get their official dyno sheets. They did however make power on both setups.

RJ MFG 08-05-2016 11:53 AM

This just in!

Strut Tower Brace!!!!!

Preview of the Preliminary drawings:

Many of you have asked for it and we heard you! this fits stock, all VQ specific aftermarket and GTR conversions!

Pricing and availability will be posted soon! and there will be a bundle offer on the conversion with the strut bar! Also those who have already bought the strut bar will receive special pricing for being early adopters!

bullitt5897 08-18-2016 10:01 AM

for those interested in the Greddy GTR intake. The runners are smaller than the conversion lower. While this does NOT present a problem. It does give us a lot of room to port the Greddy cast manifold... Stay tuned! big things are coming!

RJ MFG 08-25-2016 08:52 AM

Bump! We are test fitting the first prototype strut tower brace this week. We will post up pictures once the final fitment has been verified.

Also, Powdercoating options will be available as well as strut cover options. Pricing should be solidified next week if all goes as plan.

A side note for users wanting to run Aftermarket GTR intake manifolds. Due to the larger intake plenums we are investigating a change in oil fill locations and a possible secondary dip stick location. There is an advantage to the new location as it will mean that users can run the ATI super dampener without having to run a modified dipstick. More to come over the next week.

RJ MFG 08-25-2016 08:57 AM

Also if anyone is experiencing anomalies in the 6800RPM range please contact us directly. Given that you are moving to an aluminum intake manifold this presents a new parameter that your knock sensors weren't hearing before and we have a solution that your tuner will need to make in your tuning to resolve the issue. We have already shared this with many tuners but if you do run into it we are more than happy to share logs and tuning recommendations.

RJ MFG 08-26-2016 12:12 PM

Friday Bump Day!

RJ MFG 08-29-2016 10:10 AM

Monday morning Bump! If you haven't already checked out our facebook page you should check it often several new items coming soon... including updates on the Intake conversion and the new strut tower bar combo.

RJ MFG 08-31-2016 09:23 AM

Humpday Bumpday! Your boost isnt complete without our manifold! whether you have a stillen Supercharger or a twin turbo kit we have a solution for you!

RJ MFG 09-06-2016 10:30 AM

Bump! The new strut tower brace will be an available option in the next few weeks.

Another 370z just put down an additional 70+whp just by changing from the stock intake manifold!!!

RJ MFG 09-08-2016 12:41 PM

RJM Manifold is the only 1000whp Capable intake manifold on the market to date! Get yours today and never worry about having to upgrade again! Whether you have a stage 1 or a stage 4 TT kit the RJM manifold has shown proven gains starting at 50whp on a heart breaker dyno and so far north of 200whp on that same dyno... Stay tuned for more finished builds with this intake manifold! so far more than a dozen Fast intentions owners have made the upgrade and all of them rave on the product!

RJ MFG 09-15-2016 08:14 AM

Want to run more than 18psi of boost? the RJM manifold conversion is the only aftermarket manifold proven to make power on boosted cars without the risk of exploding or cracking! We have seen the stock manifolds crack as early as 700whp... Keep that in mind for your build!

RJ MFG 10-06-2016 09:25 AM

Congrats to TT_Nismo for just making 95whp more on pump gas with his new intake manifold!!! Details will be coming soon. Here is a teaser:

Mr TT_Nismo built his block and reduced compression to 9.5:1. He originally baselined at 590whp @ 14psi 93 oct. He is now putting down 685whp @ 20psi 93oct! With the lowered compression and efficiency of the RJ MFG intake manifold conversion he certainly is a happy customer with mountains of midrange and an increased top end! Next up 30 psi runs on e85!!! only available on the RJ MFG manifold! The only proven GTR intake manifold conversion to make power throughout the RPM range!
